Coronary microvascular disease (CMVD) affects the coronary pre-arterioles, arterioles, and capillaries and can lead to blood supply-demand mismatch and cardiac ischemia. CMVD can present clinically as ischemia or myocardial infarction with no obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA or MINOCA, respectively).
