The notable features of ameloblastoma do not typically include prominent vascularity. However, on rare occasions, vascular ameloblastoma has been described under a variety of names. We present a case of vascularized ameloblastoma that had a bloody return on fine-needle aspiration. The English language literature contains a total of 16 reports (18 cases) of vascular or hemangioma-like ameloblastoma. We reviewed the clinical, pathologic, and radiographic features of the 19 cases, but further study and more cases are needed. The recognition of this variation of ameloblastoma is important for clinicians to note that fine-needle aspiration with a bloody return does not exclude ameloblastoma from diagnostic consideration. We suggest the term vascularized ameloblastoma to avoid any suggestion of a vascular neoplasm.

Secondary reconstruction of the maxillary defect with discontinuity after partial maxillectomy is extremely challenging due to extensive, severe adhesions between the maxillary sinus membrane and oral mucosa, resulting in no space for the grafted bone and a lack of soft tissue to cover the graft. This case reports a 23-year-old female patient who underwent secondary reconstruction for a bone defect caused by a partial maxillectomy to remove an ameloblastoma that had invaded the maxillary sinus. We incised the existing soft tissue ridge at the bone defect and extensive adhesions below the maxillary sinus to create space for the grafted bone and to form an adequate buccal flap.

Objective: This study summarizes and analyzes the characteristics of deep circumflex iliac artery (DCIA) flap reconstruction for maxillary defects and proposes a generalized protocol under the guidance of computer-assisted technique to enhance surgical efficiency and success rate.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 10 cases of maxillary defects reconstructed using DCIA flaps under the application of computer-assisted technique, collecting clinical data for statistical analysis.
Results: These cases included 2 cystic lesions, 2 mucinous tumors, 2 ameloblastomas, 1 mucoepidermoid carcinoma, 1 odontogenic fibroma, 1 bone defect following squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) surgery, and 1 ossifying fibroma.

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) represents an uncommon reactive endothelial hyperplastic proliferation. A 46-year-old man experienced increased volume in the right maxilla, elevation of the nasal ala, and swelling of the hard palate with a reddish hue for 3 months. Computed tomography revealed an expansive hypodense region and cortical bone destruction associated with an impacted supernumerary tooth and an endodontically treated tooth.

Objective: To explore the feasibility and effectiveness of mixed reality technology for localizing perforator vessels in the repair of mandibular defects using free fibular flap.
Methods: Between June 2020 and June 2023, 12 patients with mandibular defects were repaired with free fibular flap. There were 8 males and 4 females, with an average age of 61 years (range, 35-78 years).
