Introduction: Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease. It has been associated with high maternal and foetal morbidity and mortality. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the outcomes of Dengue infection in pregnant women in terms of maternal bleeding, miscarriage, preterm delivery, severe Dengue, Dengue shock and maternal mortality, as well as foetal outcomes in terms of foetal distress, low birth weight and neonatal mortality.

Introduction: The pathognomonic feature of dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is a transient capillary leak syndrome resulting in profound intravascular volume depletion. WHO management guidelines recommend particular parenteral fluid regimens during the critical leakage phase, including synthetic colloid solutions in certain circumstances. We set out to describe the actual fluid management strategies employed in different settings and to investigate relationships with clinical outcomes.

This study focuses on the resilience of Brazil's health system in managing dengue from 2010 to 2024, leveraging machine learning techniques to correlate EPHF variables with dengue outcomes.
Methods: Utilizing public data from DATASUS and IBGE, we evaluated indicators such as healthcare workforce, health facilities, and dengue-specific data.

Dengue virus (DENV) is a growing global public health threat. The lack of symptomatic immune competent animal models for Dengue has hindered the screening and development of effective therapeutics that can be used to control dengue virus replication and thereby control the progression to severe dengue disease. To address this, we established an infection model in neonatal C57BL/6 mice and showed that a systemic Dengue challenge leads to ataxia, seizures, paralysis, and death within 15 days.

Unlabelled: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory syndrome often misdiagnosed due to its rarity and overlapping symptoms with sepsis or organ dysfunction. This case report describes a 52-year-old male who developed dengue-induced HLH after traveling to Barbados, presenting with multi-organ failure and laboratory abnormalities, including hyperferritinaemia and elevated IL-2R. Diagnosed via bone marrow biopsy, he was treated with corticosteroids and the IL-1R antagonist anakinra, leading to recovery.
