Background And Aim: Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) constitute a promising alternative for central nervous system (CNS) cell therapy. Unlike other human stem cells, hDPSCs can be differentiated, without genetic modification, to neural cells that secrete neuroprotective factors. However, a better understanding of their real capacity to give rise to functional neurons and integrate into synaptic networks is still needed.

Background: Culture medium enriched with Knockout serum replacement (KSR) can produce in vitro mouse sperm, but it is inefficient, strain-specific and contains bovine products, which limits its use in the human clinic. The study aimed to optimize the culture medium for testicular tissue by using plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) as a serum supplement, addressing the limitations of KSR.
Methods: Immature testicular tissues from NMRI mice were cultured for 14 days to identify the optimal PRGF concentration using histological analysis and tubular integrity scoring.

Emerging wearable devices would benefit from integrating ductile photovoltaic light-harvesting power sources. In this work, we report a small-molecule acceptor (SMA), also known as a non-fullerene acceptor (NFA), designed for stretchable organic solar cell (-OSC) blends with large mechanical compliance and performance. Blends of the organosilane-functionalized SMA BTP-Si4 with the polymer donor PNTB6-Cl achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of >16% and ultimate strain (ε) of >95%.

The potential role of hydrogen sulfide (HS) in the modulation of neuropathic pain is increasingly recognized. This study investigated the therapeutic effect of intraperitoneal injection of the HS donor sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) on neuropathic pain. Utilizing the spared nerve injury (SNI) model in mice, the research investigates the role of astrocytes and the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate in chronic pain.

Adherent perinephric fat (APF) can complicate HALDN, increasing operative time. The Mayo Adhesive Probability (MAP) score predicts APF preoperatively.
