The paper describes a new approach to the thermodynamic formalization for calculation of molecular energy and charge distribution in ground state by means of the variational equation of DFT. In order to thermodynamically formalize the molecular calculation, the pseudo chemical potential (PCP) is conceptualized, where a molecule is broken into multi-phase(atom) one-component(electron) systems and the energy of system is represented as PCP. Calculation of the molecular energy and atomic charge by PCP is put forward, thereafter the approach is proved to be valid and its efficiency (accuracy and calculation speed) is verified.

Background/aim: Despite the donor-exchange program implementation for highly sensitized (HS) patients, no improvement in waiting list in those HS patients with 100% calculated panel reactive of antibodies (cPRA) is observed. Recently, it has been published the treatment with imlifidase in desensitization algorithm. However, there are low-risk strategies to reduce cPRA.

Topological indices, derived from molecular graphs, provide valuable numerical descriptors for the comprehensive analysis of pharmaceuticals. These indices are pivotal in the physicochemical characterization and predictive assessment of various drugs. In this study, we calculate several degree-based topological indices for a range of migraine treatment medications, including aspirin, caffeine, eletriptan, ergotamine, sumatriptan, rizatriptan, verapamil, diclofenac, frovatriptan, and droperidol.

Developing efficient and cost-effective rare earth element-based electrocatalysts for water splitting remains a significant challenge. To address this, interface engineering and charge modulation strategies were employed to create a three-dimensional coral-like CeF/MoO heterostructure electrocatalyst, grown in situ on the multistage porous channels of carbonized sugarcane fiber (CSF). Integrating abundant CeF/MoO heterostructure interfaces and numerous oxygen vacancy defects significantly enhanced the catalyst's active sites and molecular activation capabilities.

Mismatched electron and proton transport rates impede the manifestation of effective performance of the electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction (OER), thereby limiting its industrial applications. Inspired by the natural protein cluster in PS-II, different organic-inorganic hybrid electrocatalysts were synthesized via a hydrothermal method. -Toluidine (PT), benzoic acid (BA), and -aminobenzoic acid (PABA) were successfully intercalated into NiFe-LDH.

Background: Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) is emerging as a valuable tool for noninvasive surveillance of cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) in patients with heart transplant (HTx). We assessed the diagnostic performance of a comprehensive CCTA-based approach compared with the invasive reference, which includes invasive coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound, and fractional flow reserve, for detecting CAV.
Methods: This was a multicenter prospective study including 37 patients with HTx who underwent CCTA, invasive coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound, and fractional flow reserve.
