Background: The purpose of this study was to identify the attributes of good clinical teachers in pediatrics (CTPs) in Japan, and to elucidate pediatricians and pediatric trainees' perceptions of these attributes.
Methods: The attributes of good CTPs were identified qualitatively by conducting a thematic analysis of questionnaires answered by board-certified pediatricians and pediatric trainees. The attributes identified were rated quantitatively by a large number of participants in both groups.
Results: Forty-eight individual attributes of good CTPs were identified, which were classified into three domains: personal, pediatrician, and teacher. The three domains and most of the attributes were consistent with previous studies. However, a few additional attributes, including "is kind/thoughtful toward others" and "defends trainees", which may be unique to pediatricians in Japan, were identified. Significant differences in the pediatricians' and trainees' perceptions of these attributes were elucidated: The differences were most noticeable for teacher attributes and least for personal attributes.
Conclusion: Although most of the identified attributes of good CTPs in our study appear to be universal, there were significant differences in the pediatricians' and trainees' perceptions of good CTPs, especially in relation to teacher attributes. Our study provides additional bases for good CTPs and future faculty development, for enhanced pediatric clinical education.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of treatment of hard-to-heal wounds of patients with ischaemia of the lower extremities, and compare an omega-3 wound matrix product (Kerecis, Iceland) with a standard dressing.
Method: A single-centre, prospective, randomised, controlled clinical trial of patients with hard-to-heal wounds following three weeks of standard care was undertaken. The ischaemic condition of the wound was confirmed as a decreased transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcPO) of <40mmHg.

Molecular insight into the phase-separated interface formed when biodegradable polyesters and thermoplastic starch (TPS) are melt-blended is valuable for the design of composites. In this study, eight different interfaces combining four major biodegradable polyesters (PLA, PBS, PHB and PBAT) and two TPSs [unmodified TPS (nTPS) and citrate-modified TPS (cTPS)] were investigated by using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. According to the MD simulation results, PBS, PHB and PBAT diffuse readily into the TPS and form compatible interfaces, whereas PLA is less compatible with the TPS.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the knowledge and perception of health-care professionals (HCPs), such as doctors/surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, optometrists, and lab technicians, on clinical trials (CTs) in India.
Methods: The study was a pan-Indian cross-sectional survey initiated by the Indian Ophthalmology Clinical Trial Network (IOCTN) by using a previously validated questionnaire for three months of data collection. An online survey was used to record information regarding demographics, CT knowledge, and CT perception among HCPs.

Fungal natural products play a prominent role in the development of pharmaceuticalagents. Two new cyclic tetrapeptides (CTPs), westertide A () and B (), with eight known compounds (-) were isolated from the fungus guided by OSMAC (one strain-many compounds) and molecular networking strategies. The structures of new compounds were unambiguously determined by a combination of NMR and mass data analysis, and chemical methods.

Preparation of the wound bed is a key step in the use of cell- and tissue-based therapy (CTP). In particular, good pre-application debridement is an essential component of CTP. However, there are many situations in which the wound bed is not adequately debrided, including trauma, burn, and in cases of chronic wounds with significant biofilm.
