is an extremely resistant bacteria that has evolved masterful strategies to enable survival under various environmental stress conditions. Heat stress is a major environmental stress factor that can cause denaturation of proteins, membrane disruption, and oxidative stress. Previous studies have examined the mechanisms of the heat stress response by analyzing changes in protein levels; however, little is known about the role of small noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), which are known to play important regulatory functions in bacteria during various environmental stress response. The ncRNA of was previously identified by RNA-seq and Northern blot. In this study, we showed that the transcription level of was up-regulated 4.2-fold under heat stress by qRT-PCR analysis. Heat tolerance assay showed that deleting significantly inhibited the viability under high temperature conditions. To assess the influence of on the transcriptome, 157 genes were found differentially expressed in the knock-out mutant by RNA-seq experiment. Combining RNA-seq and in silico analysis, we found that (tRNA modification GTPase) and (arginase) were likely to be the direct targets of . Further microscale thermophoresis results demonstrated that can directly bind to the mRNA of and . Our results indicated that can enhance the tolerance to heat stress of by binding to and mRNA. Overall, these results extend our understanding of ncRNA regulation and provide new insights into the heat stress response in .

This study investigated the single and combined effects of environmental heat stress and physical exercise on executive function (EF) performance, prefrontal cortex oxygenation, thermoregulatory responses and subjective perceptions. Sixteen subjects participated in four experimental sessions: two under moderate environmental conditions (23 °C), with and without physical exercise (R23, E23), and two under hot environmental conditions (35 °C), with and without physical exercise (R35, E35). In each session, participants completed EF tasks before and after 1 h of passive rest or 45 min of moderate-intensity cycling followed by 15 min of rest.

This study presents a novel optoporation technique using a titanium-coated TiO microstructure (TMS) device activated by an infrared diode laser for highly efficient intracellular delivery. The TMS device, fabricated with 120 nm titanium coating on a titanium dioxide (TiO) microstructure containing microneedles (height ∼2 μm and width ∼4.5 μm), demonstrates enhanced biocompatibility and thermal conductivity compared to the conventional TiO microstructure (MS).

This study was aim to investigate the effects of lipoic acid (ALA) on performance, meat quality, serum biochemistry and antioxidant function of broilers under heat stress (HS). Two hundred1-day-old Cobb broilers were randomly divided into four treatment groups and each treatment consisted of 4 replicates of 10 broilers each. The treatment group adopts a 2 × 2 two-factor setting, which is divided into two diets (basic diet or 250 mg/kg ALA diet) and two temperatures (24 ± 1℃ or 33 ± 1℃).

We aimed to elucidate the prognostic and immunological roles of B cell-related genes in colorectal cancer (CRC). This study comprehensively integrated data from single-cell RNA-sequencing, TCGA, GEO, IMvigor210, GDSC, CancerSEA, HPA, and TISIDB databases to explore prognostic implications and immunological significance of B cell-related gene signature in CRC. We identified seven prognostically significant B cell-related genes for constructing a risk score.

Melanoma, a highly aggressive skin cancer, poses significant challenges due to its rapid metastases and high mortality rates. While metformin (Met), a first-line medication for type 2 diabetes, has shown promise in inhibiting tumor growth and metastases, its clinical efficacy in cancer therapy is limited by low bioavailability, short half-life, and gastrointestinal adverse reactions associated with oral administration. In this study, we developed a hollow mesoporous polydopamine nanocomposite (HMPDA-PEG@Met@AB) coloaded with Met and ammonia borane (AB), designed to enable a combined gas-assisted, photothermal, and chemotherapeutic approach for melanoma treatment.
