Our goal was determine the effects of dydrogesterone supplementation to reduce the incidence of preeclampsia (PE) in early pregnancy (from 6 to 20 weeks of gestation). A total of 406 pregnant women were involved into the study. The Study group enrolled 169 women, supplemented with dydrogesterone at a dose of 30 mg/d 6-20 weeks of gestation compared with the control group (237 subjects) - without dydrogesterone supplementation. The women were randomized by age, race, obstetrics complications, and their somatic history. The use of dydrogesterone in early pregnancy - before 20 weeks of gestation (at a dose of 30 mg/d) with high-risk factors of PE contributed to a statistically significant reduction in the frequency of this complication (13.1% and 71.4%, < .001). It was seen, that women who took dydrogesterone developed significantly less such disorders like hypertension (3.2% and 71.2%, < .001), proteinuria (0.0% and 66.18%, < .001), fetal growth retardation syndrome (2.2% and 21.58%, < .001), destroy of uteri-placenta velocity (3.2% and 21.58%, < .001), preterm labor (8.6% and 53.95%, < .001). Dydrogesterone supplementation in the first and second period of pregnancy (from 6 to 20 weeks of gestation) significantly reduced the incidence of PE in women with higher risk pregnancy.

Background: A normal luteal function is an essential factor for maintaining pregnancy; luteal phase deficiency decreases embryo implantation and pregnancy rate and increases the early miscarriage rate. In stimulated in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) patients, luteal phase support (LPS) is achieved by the exogenous supplementation with progesterone to increase endometrial receptivity and pregnancy. While several protocols exist, no commonly accepted protocol has been established for optimal luteal support after IVF-ET to date, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of two different luteal phase support protocols in patients undergoing assisted reproductive technologies.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate whether the clinical outcomes of cycles with frozen embryo transfer (FET) in hormonal replacement treatment supplemented with dydrogesterone (DYD) following detection of low circulating levels of progesterone (P4) were comparable to the results of cycles with otherwise normal serum P4 values.
Methods: Extended analyses of a retrospective cohort that included FET cycles performed between July 2019 and March 2022 after a cycle of artificial endometrial preparation using valerate-estradiol and micronized vaginal P4 (400 mg twice daily). Whenever the serum P4 value was considered low on the morning of the planned transfer, 10 mg of DYD three times a day was added as a supplement.

Summary: A 31-year-old woman with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) experienced breast volume fluctuations during biphasic hormone replacement therapy consisting of estradiol and cyclical dydrogesterone, a progestin. 3D breast volume measurements showed a 100 cc volume (17%) difference between estradiol monotherapy and combined estradiol and dydrogesterone treatment. Progestogen-dependent breast volume changes have not been reported in the literature.
