A, Closed symbols indicate patients affected with cancer. Open symbols indicate healthy individuals. The type of cancer and age at presentation are given in brackets. Blue circle represents c.4471_4474del variant and red circle represents the c.9648 + 1G > A. B, RNA was extracted from blood of patient III-3 and his sisters III-1 and III-4. RT-PCR analysis was performed with primers mapping to exons 25 and 27, and PCR products were separated by Bioanalyzer electrophoresis. The sizes of the DNA marker (M) are indicated to the left. LM, lower marker; UM, upper marker. C, Each RT-PCR product from patient III-3 was gel-purified and analyzed by Sanger sequencing. The 297-bp band corresponds to the reference BRCA2 transcript and the 150-bp band corresponds to a BRCA2 transcript lacking exon 26.

Music generation by AI algorithms like Transformer is currently a research hotspot. Existing methods often suffer from issues related to coherence and high computational costs. To address these problems, we propose a novel Transformer-based model that incorporates a gate recurrent unit with root mean square norm restriction (TARREAN).

Background: Psychotherapeutic memory plays an important role in maintaining therapeutic effects; however, the neural mechanisms of therapeutic metaphor promoting long-term memory were still unknown.
Objective: This study used metaphorical micro-counseling dialog scenarios to investigate the memory effect of therapeutic metaphor and correlated neural mechanisms.
Methods: At first, 31 participants read a mental distress problem, followed by a metaphorical or a literal solution, while undergoing functional magnetic resonance imaging scanning during the encoding phase.

Blind spot collisions are a critical and often overlooked threat to pedestrian safety, frequently resulting in severe injuries. This study investigates the impact of automated vehicles equipped with external human-machine interfaces (eHMIs) on pedestrian crossing behavior and safety, focusing on scenarios where AVs create mutual blind spots between pedestrians and adjacent traffic. A virtual reality experiment with 51 participants simulated crossing situations in front of yielding trucks with obstructed pedestrian visibility, featuring three eHMIs: 'Walk,' 'Don't Walk,' and 'Caution! Blind Spots'.

The aim of this study is to analyze the role played by the appearance of female ghosts in their redemption. In the literature on ghosts, entries on female ghosts highlight their "beautiful appearance": Arang (Korean), Otsuyu (Japanese), The White Lady (Europe), Nie Xiaoqian (Chinese), and Maria Makiling (Filipino). Ghosts are women who died tragically, leaving behind unfulfilled desires-particularly those related to romantic or societal expectations such as marriage, love, and motherhood.

Background And Objectives: Multiple sclerosis (MS)-related disability in Hispanic people with MS is associated with inequities in social determinants of health (SDOH) as measured by composite indices of areal-level census data. Studies of individual-level measures of SDOH are lacking. This study examined the separate and joint effects of person-centered SDOH indicators and an area-level composite on MS disability measures.
