Introduction: Adhesive capsulitis (AC), also known as frozen shoulder, is challenging for diagnosis, particularly in early stages. A promising tool is contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), which has been successfully applied on musculoskeletal ultrasonography.
Methods And Results: Two antecedent studies reported the application of CEUS on AC patients although different methods were used. The first research team administered the contrast media intravenously to facilitate detection of microcirculation through observing different distributions of time-intensity curves between the affected and unaffected shoulders. The second study has introduced a pioneering approach, injecting the contrast media mixed with saline directly into the glenohumeral joint. The authors designated this novel method as "US arthrography". According to our best knowledge, this is the first study reporting the application of intraarticular CEUS in humans.
Conclusion: Both presented studies reported CEUS to be capable of differentiating shoulders with AC from normal controls.

Background: Hypothyroidism is a common sequela after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has gained prominence in thyroid imaging, leveraging its non-ionizing radiation, high spatial resolution, multiparameter and multidirectional imaging. Few previous studies have investigated the evaluation of radiation-induced thyroid injury by MRI.

Research Question: The goal of this study was to assess the diagnostic accuracy of spinal time-resolved contrast-enhanced MR angiography (4D-MRA) for the detection and localization of spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas (SDAVF) in our institution.
Material And Methods: Single center retrospective cohort study of patients with the clinical suspicion of a SDAVF. Patients were included who had undergone spinal 4D-MRA in the period January 2010-February 2021.

Background: Accurate identification of small metastatic lymph nodes (LNs) remains a significant challenge with conventional ultrasound (US) due to its limitations in sensitivity for smaller LNs. The use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), especially with perfluorobutane in the postvascular phase of CEUS, may improve the diagnosis of metastatic LNs in cancer patients. We sought to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of the postvascular phase of CEUS with perfluorobutane in identifying suspected small cervical LNs in cancer patients.

To assess the utility of IVIM parameters in evaluating uterine fibroid blood flow compared to dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) derived blood flow. Sixteen premenopausal women with uterine fibroids were enrolled in this prospective study. Pelvic MRI scans were obtained for each subject, both with and without continuous intravenous infusion of oxytocin, known to decrease significantly uterine fibroid blood flow, to assess the changes in blood flow of uterine fibroids.

Background & Aims: Accurate multi-classification is the prerequisite for reasonable management of focal liver lesions (FLLs). Ultrasound is the common image examination, but lacks accuracy. Contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) offers better performance, but highly relies on experience.
