Background: Adoptive transfer of autologous regulatory T cells (Tregs) is a promising therapeutic strategy aimed at enabling immunosuppression minimization following kidney transplantation. In our phase 1 clinical trial of Treg therapy in living donor renal transplantation, the ONE Study (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT02129881), we observed focal lymphocytic infiltrates in protocol kidney transplant biopsies that are not regularly seen in biopsies of patients receiving standard immunosuppression.

Background: Meniere's disease (MD) is a disabling disease of the inner ear, having a substantial effect on a patient's quality of life. While various postulations regarding its aetiology exists, due to the difficulty with accessing inner ear tissue, there have been limited histological studies in patients with active MD.
Methods: Tissue was collected during labyrinthectomy from 8 patients with intractable MD who had failed medical therapy (22 samples), and 9 patients undergoing translabyrinthine resection of vestibular schwannoma (19 samples).

Background: Despite advances in transplant procedures, children and adolescents still face some challenges post-transplant and are at high risk for psychiatric, academic, and social problems. This study aims to explore the lived experiences of adolescent kidney transplant recipients through interviews and the use of mandala art therapy.
Methods: This study adopted a descriptive phenomenological design and thematic analysis approach based on Husserl's philosophy.

Background: Living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) offers timely curative treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aims to validate and compare previous prediction models for HCC outcomes in 488 LDLT recipients.
Methods: For 488 patients who underwent LDLT for HCC, pretransplant imaging studies assessed by modified RECSIT criteria, tumor markers such as alpha feto-protein (AFP) and protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II (PIVKA II), and explant pathology were recruited.
