Peters anomaly (PA) is a rare, often bilateral, congenital corneal opacity, usually with a sporadic inheritance pattern, characterized by corneal opacities and irido-corneal or lenticular-corneal adhesions with a defect in the Descemet's membrane, occurring due to anterior segment dysgenesis during fetal development. Due to other ocular and systemic comorbidities, a team comprising pediatric cornea, glaucoma, and strabismus specialists in addition to a pediatrician and geneticist is necessary for the appropriate management of these children. Since the outcome of pediatric penetrating keratoplasty is variable and has a higher chance of failure when accompanied by additional procedures, such as lensectomy and vitrectomy, minimally invasive alternatives are increasingly being offered to these patients.

Objective: This study aims to analyze the adverse events (AEs) of Cariprazine based on the FAERS database, providing evidence for its safety surveillance.
Methods: For signal quantification of Cariprazine-related AEs, we used disproportionality analysis including the Ratio of Odds Ratio (ROR), Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), Bayesian Confidence Propagation Neural Network (BCPNN), and Multi-Item Gamma Poisson Shrinker (MGPS) algorithms.
Results: We selected Cariprazine-related AE reports from the FAERS database from the fourth quarter of 2015 to the first quarter of 2023, and performed a detailed data analysis.

Objective: To describe the clinical and histopathological features of ocular abnormalities noted in a litter of black-footed ferrets (Mustela nigripes), including corneal opacification, cataracts, persistent pupillary membranes, microphthalmia, symblepharon and anterior segment malformation.
Animals Studied: A litter of eight black-footed ferrets examined at 10 weeks old with a history of ophthalmia neonatorum first noted at 7 days old and histopathological examination of three globes from three ferrets of the same litter between 5 and 7 months old following routine subconjunctival enucleation.
Procedures: Due to the fractious nature of black-footed ferrets, slit-lamp biomicroscopic examination was performed under general isoflurane anesthesia at 10 weeks of age.
