The use of implantable vascular access devices has increased rapidly in recent years. We have placed the new Implantofix Implantable Drug Delivery System 7500 in 19 patients. The patients reported only minor discomfort. The majority of the nurses found the Implantofix port easier to access than other ports, and some reported less swelling and soreness at the port site. Some of the physicians had difficulty visualizing the radiopaque catheter on X-ray; Burron is currently developing a more radiopaque system. The Implantofix system offers several important benefits. Its compact size assures minimal discomfort for the patient. A new peel-away sheath offers a choice of insertion methods. The system is particularly economical because it can be implanted in an ambulatory care facility or an outpatient surgery room equipped with fluoroscopic capabilities.

Although open repair remains the mainstream treatment for aortic arch dissection, its surgical complexity and perioperative complications are significant. We developed a novel stentgraft system for less-invasive endovascular aortic arch repair. We successfully performed a total percutaneous transfemoral endovascular repair of aortic arch dissection using a novel off-the-shelf endograft system.

Vasculitides represent a range of disorders marked by inflammation of blood vessels, often posing significant diagnostic challenges due to their diverse clinical presentations and involvement of multiple organ systems. We present the case of a 26-year-old woman who arrived with hemoptysis and a background of exertional dyspnea, chest pain, and occasional visual disturbances. Initial investigations showed elevated perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (P-ANCAs) and myeloperoxidase antibodies (MPOs), indicative of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).

Introduction The internet age has broadened the horizons of modern medicine, and the ever-increasing scope of artificial intelligence (AI) has made information about healthcare, common pathologies, and available treatment options much more accessible to the wider population. Patient autonomy relies on clear, accurate, and user-friendly information to give informed consent to an intervention. Our paper aims to outline the quality, readability, and accuracy of readily available information produced by AI relating to common foot and ankle procedures.

The novel amyloid-beta, p-Tau, and neurofilament light chain (ATN) classification scheme has become a promising system for clinically detecting and diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). In addition to its utility in Alzheimer's diagnosis and treatment, the ATN framework may also have clinical relevance in identifying non-Alzheimer's pathologies. In this study conducted at Broadlawns Geriatric and Memory Center, 92 amyloid-negative profiles out of 182 patients with an ATN framework were categorized into subjective cognitive impairment (SCI), non-amnestic mild cognitive impairment (non-amnestic MCI), amnestic MCI, Alzheimer's dementia, vascular dementia, mixed dementia, unspecified dementia, or other memory changes based on diagnoses written in the chart.

We report an 18-year-old male who presented with a two-month history of a lesion over his right forearm with a one-week history of sudden increase in size associated with pain. General and systemic examinations were normal. Dermatological examination revealed a single tender, well-defined, pearly white to erythematous, dome-shaped nodule of approximately 6mm x 5mm x 5mm with central umbilication and surrounding erythema.
