Background: Much of the research on sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) focuses on program outcomes rather than the individual experiences of SANEs. The present research therefore sought to examine the individual experiences of SANEs regarding trauma, support, training needs, and challenges.
Methods: A national sample of SANEs participated in an online survey.

Background: Anxiety disorders are common in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment patients. Such co-occurring conditions ("comorbidity") have negative prognostic implications for AUD treatment outcomes, yet they commonly go unaddressed in standard AUD care. Over a decade ago, we developed and validated a cognitive behavioral therapy intervention to supplement standard AUD care that, when delivered by trained therapists, improves outcomes in comorbid patients.

Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a complex common defect in pediatric patients, and definitive treatment is usually cardiac surgery, especially for diseases with complex aetiology (ie, Critical CHD). While significant success has been reported due to improvement in diagnosis and treatment, the risk of mortality is still relatively higher than in the general population. Advances in surgical and post-surgical clinical management continue to increase survival in pediatric patients.

Seasonal variations in the environment induce observable changes in the human physiological system and manifest as various clinical symptoms in a specific human population. Our earlier studies predicted four global severe seasonal sensitive comorbid lifestyle diseases (SCLDs), namely, asthma, obesity, hypertension, and fibrosis. Our studies further indicated that the SCLD category of the human population may be maladapted or unacclimatized to seasonal changes.
