There have been many studies on the model of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from individual dry building material and have been validated in the chamber. Actually, VOC emitted from multiple dry building materials simultaneously indoor. The concentration of VOC indoor increases and will inhibit the VOC emission of dry building materials indoor. This paper developed a new model predicting indoor VOC concentrations caused by simultaneous emissions from multiple dry building materials, with a consideration of impact from dynamic VOC concentrations on the emission rate. The model has been used to predict the VOC emissions from a combination of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and consolidated compound floor (CCF) simultaneously. The study demonstrated a good prediction performance of the newly proposed model, against field experimental data. The study also showed that when multiple dry building materials emit pollutants in a common space, a mutual inhibition effect could be observed. Furthermore, when multiple dry building materials emit VOC simultaneously, the change of VOC concentrations in the air followed the trends of VOC emissions from building materials with higher initial concentration (C), diffusion coefficient (D), and the partition coefficient (K).

Objective: Invasive multimodal fMRI in rodents is often compromised by susceptibility artifacts from adhesives used to secure cranial implants. We hypothesized that adhesive type, shape, and field strength significantly affect susceptibility artifacts, and systematically evaluated various adhesives.
Materials And Methods: Thirty-one adhesives were applied in constrained/unconstrained geometries and imaged with T2*-weighted EPI at 7.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the utilization of a fine-tuned language model to extract expressions related to the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4M Framework (What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility) from nursing home worker text messages, deploy automated mapping of these expressions to a taxonomy, and explore the created expressions and relationships.
Materials And Methods: The dataset included 21 357 text messages from healthcare workers in 12 Missouri nursing homes. A sample of 860 messages was annotated by clinical experts to form a "Gold Standard" dataset.

Objective: The objectives of this study are to synthesize findings from recent research of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and large language models (LLMs) in biomedicine and provide clinical development guidelines to improve effectiveness.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a systematic literature review and a meta-analysis. The report was created in adherence to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 analysis.

Materials exhibiting both metallic and semiconducting states, including two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), have numerous applications. We therefore investigate the effects of axial and shear strains on the phase energetics of pristine and striped TMDs using density functional theory and classical molecular dynamics simulations. We demonstrate that control of the phase distribution can be achieved by the integration of strain engineering and Kirigami techniques.

As an indispensable member of the reticular material family, metal-carbon-based organometallic frameworks (OMFs) remain largely underexplored, and no chiral OMFs (COMFs) have been reported thus far. Herein, we first report the construction of COMFs from a Pd-isocyanide OMF via nucleophilic addition to the Pd-isocyanide moiety with optically pure amines. The obtained Pd-bis(acyclic diaminocarbene) (Pd-BADC)-derived chiral OMFs display excellent applicability and can be reusable chiral catalysts to highly promote asymmetric Strecker and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions in a heterogeneous way.
