Violent behavior is often met in patients with mental health disorders. An important area of research studied different factors that can influence aggressive behavior in psychiatric patients. The paper's aim was to compare different characteristics between two groups of patients, who presented with psychiatric disorders and aggressive behavior. Demographic characteristics, diagnosis, use of alcohol, history of brain injury, physical and verbal aggression were analyzed in both groups. The first group was formed of 23 mentally ill patients framed into the Article 114 Criminal Code who presented aggressive behavior and committed various offences. In the second group, 45 patients admitted at psychiatry without their consent were included, after having committed different acts of aggression. : The patients from the first group had significantly more psychiatric admissions in their history than the patients from the second group. A higher percentage of alcohol users was registered in the first group, compared to the second one. More patients with personality disorders and concomitant use of alcohol were present in the first group, compared to the second group. In both groups, aggressive behavior was more frequent in patients having psychotic disorders, compared to other diagnosis. Even if overall aggression was more frequent in the second group, when alcohol use (with or without brain injury) was present, aggressive behavior became more frequent in the first group. : Results of the study suggest that when certain conditions are met, they can significantly influence the behavior of psychiatric patients, with notable differences in each group.

Introduction: Breast cancer is among the most prevalent cancers in women globally, with patients' survival adversely impacted by Ki67 expression and triple-negative phenotypes. In this study, we examined the relationship between HER2/neu, triple-negative, and Ki67 phenotypes and tumor aggressiveness along with the survival of breast cancer patients from India.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed using hospital-based data from a tertiary care center spanning January 2013 to August 2023.

Zebrafish have the ability, to a certain extent, to distinguish between different types of stimuli, including distinguishing between videos of conspecifics and non-conspecifics, a skill known as stimulus discrimination. In this study, we investigated the effects of oxytocin on this ability in albino and non-albino zebrafish models, focusing on the correlations between albinism, sensory deficiencies, and socio-emotional behaviors. Our hypothesis is based on the premise that oxytocin influences socio-emotional behaviors in zebrafish, with varying effects depending on phenotype (albino vs.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive primary brain cancer, with poor prognosis due to its aggressive behavior and high heterogeneity. This study aimed to identify cellular senescence (CS) and lipid metabolism (LM)-related prognostic genes to improve GBM prognosis and treatment. Transcriptome and scRNA-seq data, CS-associated genes (CSAGs), and LM-related genes (LMRGs) were acquired from public databases.

Territorial crustaceans exhibit a complex set of personality traits and behavioral characteristics that are critical for their survival, growth, and overall welfare. This study aimed to systematically investigate the interplay between two essential personality traits-boldness and aggression-in Chinese mitten crabs (), during various developmental stages under conditions of crowding stress and food odor stimuli. Using behavioral assays, we found that adults displayed significantly higher levels of boldness and aggression compared to juveniles.
