Although the connection between muscular strength and flatfoot condition is well-established, the impact of corrective exercises on these muscles remains inadequately explored. This study aimed to assess the impact of intrinsic- versus extrinsic-first corrective exercise programs on muscle morphometry and navicular drop in boys with flexible flatfoot. Twenty-five boys aged 10-12 with flexible flatfoot participated, undergoing a 12-week corrective exercise program, with a shift in focus at six weeks.

Machine learning interatomic potentials, as a modern generation of classical force fields, take atomic environments as input and predict the corresponding atomic energies and forces. We challenge the commonly accepted assumption that the contribution of an atom can be learned from the short-range local environment of that atom. We employ density functional theory calculations to quantify the decay of the induced electron density and electrostatic potential in response to local perturbations throughout insulating, semiconducting and metallic samples of different dimensionalities.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between PET and CT parameters and sarcopenia, adipose tissue, and tumor metabolism in esophageal carcinoma(EC) and its impact on survival in EC.
Method: Our study included 122 EC patients who underwent PET/CT for staging. Muscle and adipose tissue characteristics were evaluated, including lumbar(L3) and cervical(C3) muscle areas, psoas major(PM) and sternocleidomastoid muscle(SCM) parameters, and PET parameters for visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue(SAT).

Purpose: This study evaluated the impact of phacoemulsification cataract surgery (PE) on anatomical and functional parameters, as well as the regimen and frequency of anti-VEGF injections in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) over a long-term period (up to 3 years).
Material And Methods: The study included 117 patients (117 eyes) diagnosed with nAMD and cataract, graded by LOCS: LOCS I (=56; 47.9%), LOCS II (=57; 48.
