Primary cardiac lymphoma (PCL) is a rare neoplasm involving the heart, pericardium or both. Patients with PCL have a median survival of approximately 7 months based on literature. We report a unique case of a 63-year-old woman presenting with worsening exertional dyspnoea and symptoms of superior vena cava obstruction. Investigations revealed a large right atrial (RA) tumour with obstructive features. In the past, PCL was frequently diagnosed at postmortem but with modern imaging and biopsy techniques, this allows early diagnosis and treatment of this rapidly fatal disease. Our patient had a trans-jugular venous biopsy of the RA mass under trans-oesophageal echocardiography guidance. This confirmed the diagnosis of PCL. She subsequently completed seven cycles of chemotherapy and is currently in remission 20 months after diagnosis.

Background: Epileptiform activity, including status epilepticus (SE), occurs in up to one-third of comatose survivors of cardiac arrest and may predict poor outcome. The relationship between SE and hypoxic-ischemic brain injury (HIBI) is not established.
Methods: This is a single-center retrospective study on consecutive patients with post-anoxic super-refractory SE.
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether circulating pyruvate kinase M2 (PK-M2) levels are elevated in the peripheral blood and to assess their association with diagnosis and prognosis in patients with heart failure (HF).
Methods And Results: We conducted a prospective investigation involving 222 patients with HF and 103 control subjects, measuring PK-M2 concentrations using ELISA. The primary outcome, assessed over a median follow-up of 2 years (interquartile range: 776 to 926 days), was the time to the first occurrence of either rehospitalization for worsening HF or cardiovascular death.
