Pheochromocytoma is a rare reason for hypertension. At least in younger people, an endocrinological workup of the etiology of hypertension is mandatory, as this case describes. If the pheochromocytomas are large enough, they can not only lead to hypertension but also cause direct damage to surrounding organs.

Background: Protein requirements established for healthy populations may be insufficient to support healthy growth in infants consuming largely cereal-based complementary foods and frequently exposed to enteric pathogens.
Objective: To assess independent and combined effects of protein supplementation and antibiotic treatment on linear growth of infants from 6-12 months of age.
Design: We conducted a 2 x 4 factorial cluster-randomized trial in northwestern Bangladesh, allocating 566 clusters to masked azithromycin (10 mg·kg * 3 d) or placebo at 6 and 9 months of age, and unmasked delivery of an egg white protein-rich blended food supplement (250 kcal; 10 g added protein), a rice-based isocaloric supplement, egg, or nutrition education from 6-12 months.

Importance: There is unprecedented clinician, industry, and patient interest in the therapeutic development of psychedelic drugs. This is due to a combination of promising clinical trial results, positive media coverage, and the lack of novel pharmacologic treatments for psychiatric disorders in recent decades. However, the field faces a key methodological challenge: masking participants to treatment conditions in psychedelic clinical trials has been largely unsuccessful.

Giant lipomas, rare benign tumours composed of mature adipose tissue, represent only 1% of all lipomas, typically exceeding 10 cm in diameter or weighing over 1000 g. These tumours can cause nerve compression, discomfort, or functional impairment, necessitating surgical excision. We report a 52-year-old male with a giant intramuscular lipoma in the periscapular region, initially identified following significant weight loss after bariatric surgery.

This article seeks to highlight an aspect of the illegal pharmaceutical trade in the Caribbean. With the advent of COVID-19 there has been a shortage of a number of drugs in the formal sector. This is largely due to restrictions on foreign exchange, importation delays and sensationalized reporting of unrecommended drugs having a curative effect on COVID-19 patients.

Background: Machine Learning (ML) models often struggle to generalize effectively to data that deviates from the training distribution. This raises significant concerns about the reliability of real-world healthcare systems encountering such inputs known as out-of-distribution (OOD) data. These concerns can be addressed by real-time detection of OOD inputs.
