Vascular stent interventional therapy is the main method for clinical treatment of coronary artery diseases. However, due to the insufficient biocompatibility of cardiovascular materials, the implantation of stents often leads to serious adverse cardiac events. Surface biofunctional modification to improve the biocompatibility of vascular stents has been the focus of current research. In this study, based on the structure and function of extracellular matrix on vascular injury healing, a novel fibronectin-loaded poly-l-lysine/heparin nanoparticles was constructed for stent surface modification. blood compatibility evaluation results showed that the nanoparticles-modified surface could effectively reduce platelet adhesion and activation. cellular compatibility evaluation results indicated that the nanocoating may provide adequate efficacy in promoting the adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells and thereby accelerate endothelialization. This study provides a new approach for the surface biological function modification of vascular stents.

Background: Tissue engineering holds promise for vascular repair and regeneration by mimicking the extracellular matrix of blood vessels. However, achieving a functional and thick vascular wall with aligned fiber architecture by electrospinning remains a significant challenge.
Methods: A novel electrospinning setup was developed that utilizes an auxiliary electrode and a spring.

Alopecia, a common dermatological condition, poses significant psychological and social challenges. Despite the availability of various treatments, their efficacy is often limited by poor bioavailability and delivery challenges. Nanostructured lipid carriers have emerged as promising advanced drug delivery systems for alopecia treatment due to their ability to encapsulate both hydrophilic and lipophilic compounds, enhancing their stability, solubility, and controlled release.

As the most common and lethal cancer of the female gonads, ovarian cancer (OC) has a grave impact on people's health. OC is asymptomatic, insidious in onset, difficult to diagnose and treat, fast-growing, and easy to metastasize and has poor prognosis and high mortality. How to detect OC as early as possible and treat it without side effects has become a challenging medical problem.

In current study, microstructural, mechanical and corrosion behaviour were investigated with incorporation of dual reinforced AZ91D surface composites. This research was carried out for enhancement of the bio-degradability in biological environment. The surface composites were successfully fabricated by friction stir processing method with a rotation speed of 800 rpm, travel speed of 80 mm/min and 2.

Nanobiohybrids for solar-driven methanogenesis present a promising solution to the global energy crisis. However, conventional semiconductor-based nanobiohybrids face challenges such as limited tunability and poor biocompatibility, leading to undesirable spontaneous electron and proton transfer that compromise their structural stability and CH4 selectivity. Herein, we introduced eutectic gallium-indium alloys (EGaIn), featuring a self-limiting surface oxide layer surrounding the liquid metal core after sonication, integrated with Methanosarcina barkeri (M.
