Chrysin (5,7-dihydroxyflavone) is a natural flavonoid with potential anxiolytic-like effects in preclinical models. Acute treatment with this molecule (0 - 10 mg/kg) produced a biphasic dose-response in the zebrafish light/dark test (LDT), with anxiolytic-like effect at low doses and anxiogenic-like effects at high doses. Chrysin (1 mg/kg) decreased anxiety-like behavior in the zebrafish novel tank test (NTT), but did not prevent the anxiogenic effects of acute stress.

The role of heparin in sepsis therapy has been widely debated. The controversy surrounding heparin's use as an anticoagulant in sepsis may stem from differences in sepsis definitions, study designs, timing and dosage of drug administration, treatment duration, complications, and patient severity. In this study, we aimed to determine the optimal timing and dosage of heparin in patients with sepsis, identify specific subgroups that could benefit from heparin therapy, and explore laboratory markers to assess its efficacy.

The serotonergic raphe magnus (RMg) and dorsal raphe (DR) nuclei are crucial pain-regulating structures, which nociceptive activity is shown to be altered in gut pathology, but the underlying neuroplastic changes remain unclear. Considering the importance of 5-HT1A receptors in modulating both pain and raphe neuronal activity, in this study, we aimed to determine whether 5-HT1A-dependent visceral and somatic nociceptive processing within the RMg and DR is modified in postcolitis conditions. In anaesthetised male Wistar rats, healthy control and recovered from TNBS-induced colitis, the microelectrode recordings of RMg and DR neuron responses to noxious colorectal distension (CRD) or tail squeezing (TS) were performed prior and after intravenous administration of 5-HT1A agonist, buspirone.

This study aims to assess the safety, efficacy, and mechanisms of Juanbilijieqing Fang in a mouse model of gouty arthritis. C57BL/6 mice were allocated into six groups: control, gouty arthritis model, and treatment groups receiving varying doses of Juanbilijieqing Fang (low, medium, high), along with a positive control group treated with febuxostat. Gouty arthritis was induced via MSU crystal injection following a high-fat diet.

Purpose: To explore the postoperative opioid-sparing effect and incidence of adverse events of different dosages of intraoperative esketamine administration in patients undergoing laparoscopic gynecological surgery.
Patients And Methods: Patients undergoing elective gynecological laparoscopic operation was enrolled and randomly allocated to lower-dose esketamine group, higher-dose esketamine group, or control group. Patients in the two intervention groups received esketamine doses of 0.
