Integration of various types of omics data is an important trend in contemporary molecular oncology. In this regard, high-throughput analysis of trace and essential elements in cancer biosamples is an emerging field that has not yet been sufficiently addressed. For the first time, we simultaneously obtained gene expression profiles (RNA sequencing) and essential and trace element profiles (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) for a set of human cancer samples.

To explore the changes and significance of resolvin D1 (RvD1) in the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with Belimumab. The clinical data from patients with moderate to severe disease activity SLE who received oral stable doses of glucocorticoids (≤10 mg/d) and/or immunosuppressants for more than 3 months at the outpatient or inpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2022 to November, 2023 were retrospectively collected. All patients were treated with 10 mg/kg intravenous infusion of Belimumab.

We investigated in women of Asian Indian descent in Mauritius, a population inherently prone to abdominal obesity, whether those with PCOS will show a more adverse cardiometabolic risk profile that could be explained by abnormalities in fat distribution. Methods Young women newly diagnosed with PCOS (n=25) were compared with a reference control cohort (n =139) for the following measurements made after an overnight fast: body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), body composition by dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry, blood pressure and blood assays for glycemic (glucose, HbA1c, insulin) and lipid (triglycerides, cholesterols) profiles.

A simple, fast, sample-saving, and sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was established with a linear range adjusted by in-source collision-induced dissociation. Notably, this could simultaneously determine busulfan, fludarabine, phenytoin, and posaconazole in plasma from children, each having unique physical and chemical properties. The procedure necessitated only 20 μL of plasma and involved a simple protein precipitation process.
