Cyclodextrin (CD) is a conical compound used in food and pharmaceutical industry to complexation of hydrophobic substances. It is a product of microbial enzymes which converts starch into CD during their activity. We aim to detect CD using active-electrode biosensor of SnO. They were grown on active electrode by the VLS method. The CD consists of several glucose units which have hydroxyl groups which tend to bind to interface states present in nanowires changing their conductivity. Experimental results of electrical conductivity at different CD concentrations are presented. A model that describes the influence of adsorbed glucose on nanowires and its electrical properties is also presented. Some general observations are performed on the applicability of the CD adsorption method by the nanowire-based biosensor.

Culturing living cells requires the maintenance of physiological conditions for extended periods of time. Here, we introduce a versatile and affordable incubation system, addressing the limitations of traditional incubation systems. Conventionally, stationary cell incubators maintain constant temperature and gas levels for cell culturing.

Bioimpedance imaging aims to generate a 3D map of the resistivity and permittivity of biological tissue from multiple impedance channels measured with electrodes applied to the skin. When the electrodes are distributed around the body (for example, by delineating a cross section of the chest or a limb), bioimpedance imaging is called electrical impedance tomography (EIT) and results in functional 2D images. Conventional EIT systems rely on individually cabling each electrode to master electronics in a star configuration.

Our research addresses the pressing need for environmental sensors capable of large-scale, on-site detection of a wide array of heavy metals with highly accurate sensor metrics. We present a novel approach using electrochemically polished (ECP) carbon screen-printed electrodes (cSPEs) for high-sensitivity detection of cadmium and lead. By applying a range of techniques, including scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry, we investigated the impact of the electrochemical potential scan range, scan rate, and the number of cycles on electrode response and its ability to detect cadmium and lead.

This work presents the development of an enzyme fuel cell, termed "BioBattery", that utilizes multicopper oxidases as the anodic enzyme in a non-diffusion limited system. We evaluated various enzyme variants as the anode, including multicopper oxidase from Pyrobaculum aerophilum, laccase from Trametes versicolor, and bilirubin oxidase from Myrothecium verrucaria. Several combinations of cathodes were also examined, focusing on the reduction of oxygen as the primary electron acceptor.

Unlabelled: A facile electrochemical sensor based on carbon felt electrode (CFE) modified with gold nanoparticles decorated copper based metal organic framework (AuNPs@Cu-MOF) was achieved for the electrochemical sensing of L-Cysteine (L-Cys). For this purpose, AuNPs@Cu-MOF was synthesized and characterized. The electrochemical behaviors of L-Cys at plain and modified CFEs were investigated via cyclic voltammetry (CV).
