Adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus are prone to have eating problems. This study aimed to determine factors of eating problems among this population in University Malaya Medical Centre. Fifteen adolescents who scored more than 20 marks in the Diabetes Eating Problem Survey - Revised questionnaire were invited for an in-depth interview. Questions were asked based on their questionnaire's response. The interview sessions were recorded, transcribed verbatim, and thematic analysis was used. Five main themes emerged: pressure, physiological factor, psychological factor, patient's low compliances to insulin intake and food control and fear. Early referral to child psychologist would prevent it from developing.
Background: Eating disorders are illnesses that can seriously impair the health and wellbeing of patients. Written emotional disclosure has been recognized as a therapeutic technique that may be helpful in aiding patients' emotional and psychological adjustment. However, it is unclear what favorable effects eating disorder patients can derive from written emotional disclosure therapy.

Obesity is a pandemic problem that correlates with a cluster of metabolic factors leading to poor cardiovascular outcomes, morbidity, and an increased risk of overall mortality. It is necessary to approach obesity with a comprehensive treatment plan, which may involve lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, and behavioral therapy) and pharmacological interventions. This article provides an overview of the mechanisms of action, efficacy, and safety of available long-term anti-obesity drugs and introduces other potential agents under investigation.
Unlabelled: Children with Noonan syndrome-like RASopathies are at increased risk for developing feeding problems due to comorbid organic impairments at an early age, such as gastrointestinal problems or other organicity. Their feeding problems can ultimately often be classified as avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, for which behavioral therapy is the first-choice treatment. The research question in this study is whether this treatment leads to similar results as in children without these RASopathies.
Aims: We explored the prevalence of disordered eating behaviours (DEBs) and attitudes among older adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and associations with demographic and clinical variables.
Methods: Adults aged ≥65 years with T1D from a university-affiliated hospital system completed an electronic survey (September to November 2023) including the Diabetes Eating Problem Survey-Revised (DEPS-R). Clinical data were extracted from medical records.
