Chemical crosslinking, combined with mass spectrometry analysis, is a key source of information for characterizing the structure of large protein assemblies, in the context of molecular modeling. In most approaches, the interpretation is limited to simple spatial restraints, neglecting physico-chemical interactions between the crosslinker and the protein and their flexibility. Here we present a method, named NRGXL (new realistic grid for crosslinks), which models the flexibility of the crosslinker and the linked side-chains, by explicitly sampling many conformations. Also, the method can efficiently deal with overall protein dynamics. This method creates a physical model of the crosslinker and associated energy. A classifier based on it outperforms others, based on Euclidean distance or solvent-accessible distance and its efficiency makes it usable for validating 3D models from crosslinking data. NRGXL is freely available as a web server at: https://nrgxl.pasteur.fr.

The strong solid-liquid interaction leads to the complicated occurrence characteristics of shale oil. However, the solid-liquid interface interaction and its controls of the occurrence state of shale oil are poorly understood on the molecular scale. In this work, the adsorption behavior and occurrence state of shale oil in pores of organic/inorganic matter under reservoir conditions were investigated by using grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.

Moroccan Adaptation of the 'Self-Care Behaviour Assessment Scale' for Arteriovenous Fistula in Haemodialysis.

J Ren Care

March 2025

Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, Laboratory of Pharmacology, Neurobiology, Anthropobiology and Environment, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, Morocco.

Background: Arteriovenous fistula self-care behaviours in patients receiving haemodialysis are essential to maintain patency of vascular access and prevent its life-threatening complications. Assessing arteriovenous fistula self-care behaviours in patients receiving haemodialysis requires a reliable and valid tool.

Objective: The aim of this study was to adapt and translate the Portuguese scale for the assessment of self-care behaviours of arteriovenous fistula in patients receiving haemodialysis into the Moroccan dialect and evaluate its psychometric properties in the Moroccan context.

More than 27,000 stomachs from 70 species of fish were collected from the Barents Sea in 2015. Quantitative stomach content expressed relative to the body weight of the predator fish (g g as %) varied by four to five orders of magnitude for six species with the largest sample size (Atlantic cod Gadus morhua, haddock Melanogrammus aeglefinus, Greenland halibut Reinhardtius hippoglossoides, long rough dab Hippoglossoides platessoides, polar cod Boreogadus saida, and Atlantic capelin Mallotus villosus). The quantitative stomach contents of individual fish followed a common and strict statistical relationship for predator species or groups of species (by families), and for prey categories across predator species.

Purpose: This study proposes a novel, contrast-free Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF) method using balanced Steady-State Free Precession (bSSFP) sequences for the quantification of cerebral blood volume (CBV), vessel radius (R), and relaxometry parameters (T , T , T *) in the brain.

Methods: The technique leverages the sensitivity of bSSFP sequences to intra-voxel frequency distributions in both transient and steady-state regimes. A dictionary-matching process is employed, using simulations of realistic mouse microvascular networks to generate the MRF dictionary.

Purpose: The present study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of external and personal regulatory mechanisms in reducing procrastination behavior among university students. For this purpose, the role of teachers' academic motivation is worthwhile in shaping the learning environment and reducing procrastination, with a focus on the mediating roles of emotion regulation and study habits considered imperative.

Research Design/method: By employing a quantitative, cross-sectional research design, data were collected from a sample of 210 teachers working in universities located in Multan-Pakistan via convenient sampling, yielding a usable response rate of 70.
