Background: Medicaid expansion via the Affordable Care Act, more recent legislation and Medicaid 1115 waivers offer opportunity to increase health care access among individuals involved in the carceral system. Effective enrollment of new beneficiaries and temporary suspension and reactivation of existing Medicaid benefits upon release is key to the success of these efforts. This study aims to characterize how jails, prisons and Medicaid agencies are implementing Medicaid suspension and enrollment programs and identifies barriers and facilitators to implementation.

It is used to estimate potential long-term health benefits and cost outcomes. Background: To determine the impacts of statewide coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related public health and social measures (PHSMs) and attempted pandemic mitigation measures on years of potential life lost (YPLL).

Methods: The "openness score" of each state during the COVID-19 pandemic was obtained using two open-source sites, the Multistate openness score and the Wallethub openness score. These scores combined various PHSMs, such as restrictions on gatherings and closing various types of businesses.

Summary Answer: The latest shift in clinical guidelines results in diagnosis of more women with endometriosis but current ESHRE diagnostic criteria do not capture a sizable percentage of women with the disease.

What Is Known Already: Historically, laparoscopy was the gold standard for diagnosing endometriosis, a complex gynecological condition marked by a heterogeneous set of symptoms that vary widely among women. More recently, changes in clinical guidelines have shifted to incorporate imaging-based approaches such as transvaginal sonography and magnetic resonance imaging.
