Gallium-doped aluminum oxide (AlGa)O with γ-AlO (spinel) structure has been synthesized by the precursor method using the formate AlGa(OH)(HCOO) as a precursor. The examination of AlGa(OH)(HCOO) (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) was carried out by X-ray powder diffraction, Infrared, Raman spectroscopy and differential-thermal methods. The solid solutions γ-(AlGa)O with х≤0.2 have been synthesized by thermolysis of precursors in helium atmosphere at 700 °C; they exhibit white-blue emission under UV excitation, whose intensity lowers with increasing dopant concentration. As an independent method, the DFT calculations confirmed thermodynamically the stability field of γ-(AlGa)O solid solutions and the NMR data on relative abundance of Al and Ga within the tetrahedral and octahedral sites in the metal sublattice. Furthermore, the structural and thermodynamic properties of carbon-containing impurities within these compounds were suggested theoretically as possible models of luminescence emission centers. The experimentally observed Ga-dependent quenching of luminescence was explained using the competition between C2p and Ga4p states within the band gap of γ-AlO.

1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (1,4-DHAQ, a fluorophore) doped carbon nanotubes@cellulose (1,4-DHAQ-doped CNTs@CL) nanofibrous membranes have been prepared electrospinning and subsequent deacetylation in this work. They have been successfully applied for highly sensitive detection of Cu in aqueous solution. The surface area per unit mass (S/M) ratio of the nanofibrous membranes was enhanced by incorporating the CNTs into cellulose.

A novel method was established using a restricted access material combined with a molecularly imprinted polymer (RAM-MIP) as the sorbent material in solid phase extraction (SPE) for clean-up of α-endosulfan, β-endosulfan, endosulfate, endosulfan-ether, endosulfan lactone, heptachlor, heptachlor--epoxide, and heptachlor--epoxide in pork and gas chromatography (GC) for determination. The RAM-MIP was prepared by precipitation polymerization by using endosulfan as the template, methacrylic acid (MAA) as the monomer, glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as the pro-hydrophilic co-monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the crosslinker, azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as the initiator, and toluene as the porogen. Ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV) and H-nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR) analysis verified that MAA interacted specifically with endosulfan in a ratio of 1 : 1 in the pre-polymerization solution.

Effective heat dissipation remains a grand challenge for energy-dense devices and systems. As heterogeneous integration becomes increasingly inevitable in electronics, thermal resistance at interfaces has emerged as a critical bottleneck for thermal management. However, existing thermal interface solutions are constrained by either high thermal resistance or poor reliability.

Purpose: BMS-986299 is a first-in-class, NOD-, LRR-, and pyrin-domain containing-3 (NLRP3) inflammasome agonist enhancing adaptive immune and T-cell memory responses.

Materials And Methods: This was a phase-I (NCT03444753) study that assessed the safety and tolerability of intra-tumoral BMS-986299 monotherapy (part 1A) and in combination (part 1B) with nivolumab, and ipilimumab in advanced solid tumors. Reported here are single-center results.

Cancer immunotherapy-including immune checkpoint inhibition (ICI) and adoptive cell therapy (ACT)-has become a standard, potentially curative treatment for a subset of advanced solid and liquid tumors. However, most patients with cancer do not benefit from the rapidly evolving improvements in the understanding of principal mechanisms determining cancer immune responsiveness (CIR); including patient-specific genetically determined and acquired factors, as well as intrinsic cancer cell biology. Though CIR is multifactorial, fundamental concepts are emerging that should be considered for the design of novel therapeutic strategies and related clinical studies.
