Hydatid disease is a zoonotic infection caused by the tapeworm, primarily affecting the liver and lungs, and rarely involving muscle tissue. Humans are infected by ingesting eggs from contaminated food or water. Patients may present with painless, slow-growing masses, sometimes associated with nerve or vessel compression, especially in cases of muscle involvement.

Myoepitheliomas are very rare salivary gland neoplasms seen mainly in the major salivary glands (~40%) followed by minor salivary glands (~21%). Palatal myoepitheliomas are rare, with clear cell types being even rarer. Due to the rarity of this tumor, it lacks specific features that are diagnostic in cytology.

Lipomas are the most common soft tissue tumours in adults, but they represent less than 10% of paediatric mesenchymal tumours. In adults, they are typically slow growing and painless. We describe an adolescent with a rapidly enlarging neck mass causing dyspnoea and chest pain.
