and are type strains of underexplored genera affiliated with Herein, we report the draft genome sequences of two strains of these bacteria, KCTC 42399 and KCTC 52045, with the intent of broadening knowledge of this family. Genome annotation and gene mining revealed that both bacteria exhibit amylolytic abilities.

Given the presence of highly repetitive genomic regions such as subtelomeric regions, understanding human genomic evolution remains challenging. Recently, long-read sequencing technology has facilitated the identification of complex genetic variants, including structural variants (SVs), at the single-nucleotide level. Here, we resolved SVs and their underlying DNA damage-repair mechanisms in subtelomeric regions, which are among the most uncharted genomic regions.

Introduction: Healthcare payers in the USA increasingly cover genetic testing, including exome sequencing (ES), for pediatric indications. Analysis of claims data enables understanding of utilization and costs in real-world settings. The objective of this study was to describe genetic test utilization, diagnostic outcomes, and costs for children who received ES as well as for those who received less comprehensive forms of genetic testing, along with their families.

Unlabelled: The abundant and metabolically versatile aquatic bacterial order, , influences marine biogeochemical cycles. We assessed metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) abundance, estimated growth rates, and potential and expressed functions in the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, two important US estuaries. Phylogenomics of draft and draft/closed genomes from this study and others placed 46 nearly complete MAGs from these bays into 11 genera, many were not well characterized.

Pesticide-free agriculture is a fundamental pillar of environmentally friendly agriculture. To this end, there is an active search for new bacterial strains capable of synthesizing secondary metabolites and toxins that protect crops from pathogens and pests. In this study, we isolated a novel strain d21.
