We are teetering on the precipice of the imminent Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this new age, systems are set to become more densely intraconnected and interconnected, and massive sociotechnical systems exhibiting unprecedented levels of complexity will increasingly take hold. At the dawning of this new age, the Ergonomics discipline must reflect on its preparedness for tackling problems in these novel systems. This paper engages in this reflection by putting forth a critical commentary on the implication of these changes on the discipline and discusses the utility of our current methods in this new paradigm. A resulting Radical Systems Thinking in Ergonomics Manifesto is put forward - a set of mandates to guide practitioners and researchers in the development of new methods capable of coping with these imminent challenges. From the manifesto are derived a series of capability requirements for future computational modelling approaches in Ergonomics. The goal of this paper was to inspire the Ergonomics community to pursue further applications involving computational modelling approaches such as Agent-Based Modelling. It presents a manifesto for the future of the discipline, and from this the capabilities that future computational modelling approaches need to possess. 1IR: first industrial revolution; 2IR: second industrial revolution; 3IR: third industrial revolution; 4IR: fourth industrial revolution; ABM: agent based model; AI: artificial intelligence; AoF: allocation of function; CPA: cyber physical attack; CPS: cyber-physical system; CWA: cognitive work analysis; DDoS: distributed denial of service; EAST: event analysis of systemic teamwork; FRAM; functional resonance analysis method; HCI: human-computer interaction; HERA: human error and recovery assessment; HET: human error template; HMC: human-machine cooperation; IoT: internet of things; RSTEM: radical systems thinking in ergonomics manifesto; SAI: situated artificial intelligence; STAMP: systems theoretic accident model and processes; TRACEr: technique for the retrospective and predictive analysis of cognitive errors in air traffic control.

This study focused on evaluating the fractionation of pequi oil and modeling the process using solid-liquid equilibrium (SLE) theory. The pequi oil was comprehensively characterized, including its fatty acid (FA) and acylglycerol (AG) profiles, moisture content, acidity, carotenoid levels, and thermal behavior. Low acidity and partial acylglycerols content, along with its TAG profile (mainly OOP, POP, OOO and PPP) and melting behavior proved that, in fact, this oil is quite suitable for fractionation.

Industry 4.0 represents the fourth industrial revolution, which is characterized by the incorporation of digital technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, big data, and other advanced technologies into industrial processes. Industrial Machinery Health Management (IMHM) is a crucial element, based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), which focuses on monitoring the health and condition of industrial machinery.

In order to study the movement characteristics of coal particles in the coal loading process of spiral drums, the spiral drum of a certain type of shearer was taken as the research object, and the intrinsic parameters of the materials were calibrated through the determination results of coal sample properties, the relevant parameters of coal particle adhesion were determined, and a discrete element model of spiral drum coal loading was established. The distribution of coal particle movement subsequent to the fracture of the coal wall was derived through simulation. By spatially dividing the envelope region of the spiral drum along the radial and axial directions, the number and velocity distribution of coal particles in different envelope regions were obtained.

Following the industrial revolution and the modernization of chemistry, purple became one of the most popular colors in the palettes of late 19th- to 20th-century painters. Among them, Robert Delaunay (1885-1941) was one of the key artists of the avant-garde movement in France in the early 20th century. Although widely used in modern and contemporary paintings, inorganic purple pigments of the cobalt phosphate and cobalt arsenate families have been little studied chemically until now.

This article presents a laboratory device by which the course of two signals can be detected using two types of sensors-strain gauges and the DEWESoft DS-NET measuring apparatus. The values of the coefficient of friction of the brake lining when moving against the rotating shell of the brake drum were determined from the physical quantities sensed by tensometric sensors and transformed into electrical quantities. The friction coefficient of the brake lining on the circumference of the rotating brake disc shell can be calculated from the known values measured by the sensors, the design dimensions of the brake, and the revolutions of the rotating parts system.
