Introduction: Epilepsy is a prevalent neurological condition globally, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Ghana, it is one of the top five causes of premature death and disability, impacting children's neurological development and learning outcomes. Although 25% of epilepsy cases are preventable, many go undiagnosed and untreated.

Background: Acknowledging patients' spiritual concerns can enhance well-being and is essential to patient-centered chronic illness care. However, unmet spiritual care needs remain a major area of suffering, particularly among under-resourced populations. Limited research exists on how spiritual concerns are acknowledged and integrated into the care of chronically ill older Black patients in these settings.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted healthcare and community dynamics. This study explores the roles of faith community nurses and faith community leaders in Johnson City, Tennessee, during the pandemic. Using an ethnographic qualitative approach, we interviewed pastors, FCNs, and other FC leaders to understand their strategies and challenges.
