There are 14 species of Castniinae known from Mexico of which about ten appear to be endemic. Among the latter, we find Synpalamides chelone (Hopffer, 1856), Synpalamides escalantei (J.Y. Miller, 1976) and Castnia estherae J.Y. Miller, 1976. As far as we can tell, no additional specimens of this latter species have been observed until recently, and most of these are reported herein. A description of the male of S. estherae is provided along with a discussion of the comparative morphology of the closely related S. chelone and S. escalantei, and insight into their life histories and bionomics. Additional review of these species along with the other Synpalamides restricted to South America warranted the description of a new genus, Escalantiana J.Y. Miller gen. nov., to which the above species are assigned.

Tendinopathies continue to be a challenge for both patients and the medical teams providing care as no universal clinical practice guidelines have been established. In general, tendinopathies are typically characterized by prolonged, localized, activity-related pain with abnormalities in tissue composition, cellularity, and microstructure that may be observed on imaging or histology. In the lower limb, tendinopathies affecting the Achilles and the patellar tendons are the most common, showing a high incidence in athletic populations.

Background: Youth overweight and obesity is a public health crisis and increases the risk of poor cardiovascular health (CVH) and chronic disease. Health care providers play a key role in weight management, yet few tools exist to support providers in delivering tailored evidence-based behavior change interventions to patients.
Objective: The goal of this pilot randomized feasibility study was to determine the feasibility of implementing the Patient-Centered Real-Time Intervention (PREVENT) tool in clinical settings, generate implementation data to inform scale-up, and gather preliminary effectiveness data.

Background: Although the link between alcohol involvement and behavioral phenotypes (e.g. impulsivity, negative affect, executive function [EF]) is well-established, the directionality of these associations, specificity to stages of alcohol involvement, and extent of shared genetic liability remain unclear.
