When treating anterior and apical prolapse, laparoscopic sacral colpopexy is the gold standard. Currently, it is suggested that the anterior mesh must be the lowest possible to better treat the prolapse and lower the risk of recurrence. The objective of our study was to determine the possibility of using intra-operative transperineal ultrasound measurements during laparoscopic sacral colpopexy in order to better localize the mesh positioning.

Objective: The current landscape is characterized by a dearth of effective, safe, simple, and noninvasive methods for preventing pain following craniotomy. This clinical trial seeks to evaluate the efficacy profile of preemptive application of a topical 5% lidocaine patch in alleviating post-craniotomy pain.
Methods: This was a multi-centric, prospective randomized placebo-controlled triple-blind clinical trial.

This study investigates the effects of occipital lobe tumors on visual processing and the role of brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies in post-surgical visual rehabilitation. Through a combination of pre-surgical functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), intra-operative direct cortical stimulation (DCS) and Electrocorticography (ECoG), and post-surgical BCI interventions, we provide insight into the complex dynamics between occipital lobe tumors and visual function. Our results highlight a discrepancy between clinical assessments of visual field damage and the patient's reported visual experiences, suggesting a residual functional capacity within the damaged occipital regions.

: Prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PSMA PET/CT), in combination with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), may enhance the diagnosis and staging of prostate cancer. Image fusion of separately acquired PET/CT and MRI images serve to facilitate clinical integration and treatment planning. This study aimed to investigate different PSMA PET/CT and MRI image fusion workflows for prostate cancer visualisation.
