A small portion of patients suffer from severe knee pain following previous knee surgery or a trauma. Awareness among traumatologists regarding a neuropathic origin of this persistent knee pain is poor. Ongoing pain close to the knee may be caused by damage of the infrapatellar nerve (IN). This branch of the saphenous nerve is purely sensory and is at risk for iatrogenic damage due to its superficial medial course. Once recognized using simple tests during physical examination, a variety of treatment modalities may be proposed. However, a standard treatment algorithm was hitherto absent. This study includes 15 patients having IN damage who were offered a step-up regimen including lidocaine injections, pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) or neurectomy. Success (>50% drop in numeric rating scale pain score) was attained in 11 (73% success rate, 9 month median follow-up). The aim of this contribution is to increase knowledge regarding this illusive entity and to discuss the efficacy of our treatment protocol.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a major source of chronic pain and disability, representing a significant global health concern that affects 10-15 % of individuals aged over 60, with a higher prevalence among females than males. This investigation aimed to evaluate the impact of a dietary supplement containing collagen peptides (MW 1-3 kDa) on knee OA symptoms and inflammatory biomarkers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). Adults aged 30-81 years (50 % female) with grade II or III OA and a minimum pain score of 40 on the 0 to 100 visual analogue scale (VAS) were enrolled.

Toxic shock syndrome secondary to Group A infection is a rare but serious cause of women's morbidity and mortality which can easily be misdiagnosed. A 37-year-old woman presented to the emergency department in a state of shock after a two-day history of abdominal pain, fever, diarrhoea and green vaginal discharge. Following extensive investigations, she was proved to have septic shock secondary to Group A Despite receiving intravenous antibiotics, she required explorative laparotomy, which proceeded to subtotal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy.

Femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) is a common condition of the hip that can cause significant damage to the joint, leading to degeneration and osteoarthritis. FAIS constitutes an abnormal and dynamic contact between the femoral head-neck junction and the acetabular rim, resulting from altered bone morphology at one or both sites. Repetitive trauma at the site of impingement generates progressive damage to the acetabular labrum, chondrolabral junction, and articular cartilage.

The purpose of this study was to validate the success of revision arthroscopic circumferential allograft labral reconstruction (CLR) in nonarthritic hips, which, in the rare case of failure, had previously undergone labral reconstruction by the same surgeon. Using a minimum of 24-month follow-up, data from 24 hips having undergone revision CLR were analyzed to determine improvements in patient-reported outcomes (PROs). All included cases completed a minimum of 24 months follow-up, with a success rate of 96%.

Objective: This experiment aims to explore how foam rollers of different Shore hardness affect DOMS, providing insights for sports therapy.
Methods: Forty participants from Shanghai Sanda University who have no habit of strength training, no lower limb injury, and meet the health standards were selected to conduct three experiments under the conditions of no intervention, using a 50 Shore hardness foam roller, and using a 60 Shore hardness foam roller, respectively. Data were recorded before and after modeling, as well as 24, 48, and 72 hours later.
