In this article, a method is presented to estimate a new local quality measure for 3D cryoEM maps that adopts the form of a 'local resolution' type of information. The algorithm () is based on deep-learning 3D feature detection. is fully automatic and parameter-free, and avoids the issues of most current methods, such as their insensitivity to enhancements owing to -factor sharpening (unless the 3D mask is changed), among others, which is an issue that has been virtually neglected in the cryoEM field until now. In this way, can be applied to any map, detecting subtle changes in local quality after applying enhancement processes such as isotropic filters or substantially more complex procedures, such as model-based local sharpening, non-model-based methods or denoising, that may be very difficult to follow using current methods. It performs as a human observer expects. The comparison with traditional local resolution indicators is also addressed.

Controlling the light emitted by individual molecules is instrumental to a number of advanced nanotechnologies ranging from super-resolution bioimaging and molecular sensing to quantum nanophotonics. Molecular emission can be tailored by modifying the local photonic environment, for example, by precisely placing a single molecule inside a plasmonic nanocavity with the help of DNA origami. Here, using this scalable approach, we show that commercial fluorophores may experience giant Purcell factors and Lamb shifts, reaching values on par with those recently reported in scanning tip experiments.

: Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) plays a central role in the diagnosis and follow-up of acute myocarditis (AM). In this study, we aimed to evaluate baseline and follow-up CMR findings and associated factors in children with AM. : A retrospective analysis of CMR in pediatric patients with clinical presentations suggestive of myocarditis was performed.

Metasurface-based imaging is attractive due to its low hardware costs and system complexity. However, most of the current metasurface-based imaging systems require stochastic wavefront modulation, complex computational post-processing, and are restricted to 2D imaging. To overcome these limitations, we propose a scanning virtual aperture imaging system.

The Loess Plateau in northwest China features fragmented terrain and is prone to landslides. However, the complex environment of the Loess Plateau, combined with the inherent limitations of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), often results in false positives and missed detection for deep learning models based on CNNs when identifying landslides from high-resolution remote sensing images. To deal with this challenge, our research introduced a CNN-transformer hybrid network.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive procedure that utilizes localized heat to treat tumors by inducing localized tissue thermal damage. The present study aimed to evaluate the temperature evolution and spatial distribution, ablation size, and reproducibility of ablation zones in ex vivo liver, kidney, and lung using a commercial device, i.e.
