Background: Although agricultural health has gained importance, to date, much of the existing research relies on traditional epidemiological approaches that often face limitations related to sample size, geographic scope, temporal coverage, and the range of health events examined. To address these challenges, a complementary approach involves leveraging and reusing data beyond its original purpose. Administrative health databases (AHDs) are increasingly reused in population-based research and digital public health, especially for populations such as farmers, who face distinct environmental risks.

Background: Accelerated aging is strongly linked to adverse social exposome and accelerated aging of the brain may be a dementia risk factor. Machine-learning can estimate the biological "brain age" from neuroimages, which provides complementary information to the chronological/calendar age. The difference between biological and chronological age is referred to as the "brain age gap.

Background: Early life-course exposome, including area-based social disadvantage, may influence the development of cognitive reserve, thereby impacting later-life incidence of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). The primary goal of this scoping review is to evaluate the extent of literature examining early-life exposure to area-based disadvantage and its association with structural neuroanatomical differences. A secondary goal is to examine the commonalities in brain regions impacted as well as the components of the exposure-metrics utilized to study the social exposome.

Background: Adverse social exposome (indexed by national Area Deprivation Index [ADI] 80-100 or 'high ADI') is linked to structural inequities and increased risk of Alzheimer's disease neuropathology. Twenty percent of the US population resides within high ADI areas, predominantly in inner cities, tribal reservations and rural areas. The percentage of brain donors from high ADI areas within the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) brain bank system is unknown.
