Demyelination, or the loss of myelin in the central nervous system (CNS) is a hallmark of multiple sclerosis (MS) and occurs in various forms of CNS injury and neurodegenerative diseases. The regeneration of myelin, or remyelination, occurs spontaneously following demyelination. The lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC)-induced focal demyelination model enables investigations into the mechanisms of remyelination, providing insight into the molecular basis underlying an evolving remyelinating microenvironment over a tractable time course.

We report the synthesis of three radical-cation salts of BEDT-TTF from racemic tris(oxalato)ferrate by electrocrystallization in the presence of chiral molecules. In the presence of enantiopure l-(+)-tartaric acid, we observe spontaneous resolution of the labile tris(oxalato)ferrate anion to produce the chiral radical-cation salt α-(BEDT-TTF)[Δ-Fe(CO)].[l-(+)-tartaric acid] which contains only the Δ enantiomer of Fe(CO).

Background: Posttraumatic retroclival hematomas are rare pathologies among pediatric patients and can result in cranial nerve palsies. The authors sought to survey the literature and characterize the risk factors, treatment considerations, and overall outcomes for pediatric patients experiencing posttraumatic retroclival hematomas.
Observations: A search of the Ovid Embase, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science databases from January 1986 to May 2024 was performed following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.

Hamman syndrome, or spontaneous pneumomediastinum, is a rare condition characterized by the presence of free air in the mediastinum, often triggered by increased intrathoracic pressure from vomiting, coughing, or intense physical exertion. Its association with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is extremely uncommon. We report a case of an 18-year-old male with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes who developed DKA complicated by pneumomediastinum, subcutaneous emphysema, and a small pneumothorax.

Objective: To report a single tertiary center experience in the management of prenatally diagnosed cases of fetal ascites and their postnatal outcomes.
Methods: Prenatally diagnosed fetal ascites cases were retrospectively analyzed from 2015 to 2022 using two-dimensional ultrasound with other investigations as required in a tertiary care center.
Results: Of 126 fetuses with fetal ascites, 70 progressed to hydrops and hence were excluded from the study.
