Background: Premature ejaculation (PE) is a form of male sexual dysfunction. As people's lifestyle changes and the population ages, the incidence of PE continues to increase. Chinese patent medicines have been widely used in clinical practice as derivatives of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Many clinical trials have proven that Chinese patent medicine has a significant effect in the treatment of PE. In this systematic review, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese patent medicine for PE.
Methods: We will search for PubMed, Cochrane Library, AMED, Embase, WorldSciNet, Nature, Science online and China Journal Full-text Database, China Biomedical Literature CD-ROM Database, and related randomized controlled trials included in the China Resources Database. The time is limited from the construction of the library to September 2019. We will use the criteria provided by Cochrane 5.1.0 for quality assessment and risk assessment of the included studies, and use the RevMan 5.3 and Stata 13.0 software for meta-analysis of the effectiveness, recurrence rate, and symptom scores of PE.
Ethics And Dissemination: This systematic review will evaluate the efficacy and safety of TCM for treating PE. Because all of the data used in this systematic review and meta-analysis have been published, this review does not require ethical approval. Furthermore, all data will be analyzed anonymously during the review process Trial.
Trial Registration Number: PROSPERO CRD42017065316.

Y-chromosomal short tandem repeats (Y-STRs) at rapidly mutating (RM) loci have been suggested as tools for differentiating paternally related males. RMplex is a recently developed system that incorporates 26 RM loci and four fast-mutating (FM) loci, targeting 44 male-specific loci. Here, we evaluated the RMplex by estimating Y-STR mutation rates and the overall differentiation rates for 542 Korean father-son pairs, as well as the genetic population values for 409 unrelated males.

Up to 50-70% of patients with liver cirrhosis develop hepatic encephalopathy (HE), which is closely related to gut microbiota dysbiosis, with an unclear mechanism. Here, by constructing gut-brain modules to assess bacterial neurotoxins from metagenomic datasets, we found that phenylalanine decarboxylase (PDC) genes, mainly from Ruminococcus gnavus, increased approximately tenfold in patients with cirrhosis and higher in patients with HE. Cirrhotic, not healthy, mice colonized with R.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Diabetic erectile dysfunction (DED) is a prevalent but often overlooked microvascular complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), with strong associations to cardiovascular disease. The pathophysiology of erectile dysfunction (ED) in T2DM patients is more intricate than in non-diabetic individuals, likely involving multiple pathogenic mechanisms such as endothelial dysfunction, vascular alterations, neuropathy, and oxidative stress. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has long been utilized in the management of DED, drawing on an extensive body of clinical experience.

Male infertility has become an increasingly severe global health issue, with its incidence significantly rising over the past few decades. This paper delves into the crucial role of epigenetics in male reproductive health, focusing particularly on the effects of DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodeling and non-coding RNAs regulation on spermatogenesis. Exposure to various environmental factors can cause sperm DNA damage, leading to epigenetic abnormalities.

Parkinson's Disease (PD), the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder globally, often carries stigma for those affected; however, stigma's impact on PD caregivers is not well understood. This study investigates PD stigma and its interplay with cultural values, as well as explores the role of depressive symptomatology in shaping help-seeking attitudes among individuals with PD and the provision of support by PD caregivers. Using cross-sectional data collected from people living with PD and their caregivers, this study examines how adherence to Asian values influences the link between self-stigma and help-seeking tendencies in PD patients, as well as how affiliate stigma is linked to caregivers' willingness to help.
