bacteremia is one of the most frequent and severe bacterial infections worldwide. The increased incidence of infections with a diverse pattern of protein A () types across different geographic regions is a global challenge. This study investigated a novel type of methicillin-resistant in a clinically isolated specimen. A total of 109 clinical samples were subjected to 19 sets of antimicrobial susceptibility testing using the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method. Molecular typing was performed with protein A () and multi-locus sequence types (MLST) via polymerase chain reaction and sequencing. The methicillin-resistant samples in our study accounted for 55.05% (60/109) of the total. A novel type was detected in five (5/60) strains. This 2 isolate was identified in antimicrobial susceptibility tests of 15 kinds of antibiotics. Antibiotic resistance genes included , , and Eleven samples were classified as , , , , five unknown types (new types), and undefined MLST (novel MLST). We report a high prevalence rate of methicillin-resistant samples in our country. Additionally, novel 2, MLST ST4613, and clonal compact CC5-type strains (T1:M1:B1:B1:M1:E1:K1, r26:r17:r34:r34:r17:r13:r16, mlst;1:4:1:4:559:495:10) showing multidrug resistance were identified among samples.

are opportunistic pathogens which can cause mastitis in dairy cattle. mastitis often has a poor cure rate and can lead to the development of chronic infection, which has an impact on both health and production. However, there are few studies which aim to fully characterize by whole-genome sequencing from bovine mastitis cases.

Root system architecture (RSA) plays an important role in plant adaptation to drought stress. However, the genetic basis of RSA in sorghum has not been adequately elucidated. This study aimed to investigate the genetic bases of RSA traits through genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and determine genomic prediction (GP) accuracy in sorghum landraces at the seedling stage.

Human brucellosis is a re-emerging disease in Sichuan Province, China. In this study, bacteriology, conventional bio-typing, multi-locus sequence typing (MLST), and multiple locus variable-number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA) were applied to preliminarily characterize the strains in terms of genetic diversity and epidemiological links. A total of 101 Brucella strains were isolated from 16 cities (autonomous prefectures) from 2014 to 2021, and all of the strains were identified as Brucella melitensis bv.

Background: The investigation into risk factors, molecular epidemiology, and resistance mechanisms of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) in pediatric populations in China is currently inadequate.
Methods: To assess epidemiology, molecular characteristics, and resistance mechanisms, virulence-associated genes were analyzed, alongside multi locus sequence typing (MLST), PCR, and qRT-PCR.
Finding: Multivariate analysis identified prolonged hospitalization (OR: 1.

Purpose: To investigate the molecular epidemiology and risk factors of carbapenem-resistant (CRKP) infection.
Patients And Methods: Patient's clinical data and CRKP strains were collected from November 2017 to December 2018 at a tertiary hospital in Wuhan, China. The antimicrobial susceptibilities, carbapenem-resistant genes, multi-locus sequence typing (MLST), homologous analysis, and risk factors for CRKP were determined.
