Fulminant myocarditis (FM) is an acute, diffuse inflammatory myocardial disease characterized by abrupt onset and extremely rapid progression. Patients typically exhibit haemodynamic abnormalities that may lead to respiratory failure, liver and renal failure, and subsequent coagulopathy. Collectively, these complications significantly increase the risk of early mortality.

Objective: This study aims to explore the genetic characteristics of pediatric sepsis through a combined analysis of multiple methods, including Mendelian Randomization (MR), differential gene expression analysis, and immune cell infiltration assessment. It explores their potential as biomarkers for sepsis risk and their involvement in immune-related pathways.
Methods: Differential expression analysis was performed using public datasets to identify genes with significant expression changes between pediatric sepsis patients and healthy controls.

Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is a common pathogenic situation that arises throughout all liver surgeries, including liver transplants. We aimed to compare the preventive effects of valsartan (VST) against valsartan + sacubitril (LCZ696) on hepatic injury caused by IRI. A total of thirty-six male Westar albino rats were split into six groups randomly: sham, IRI, VST + IRI, LCZ696 + IRI, VST, and LCZ696.

Background: Phaeohyphomycosis is a very rare fungal infection, which is one of more usual complications in immunocompromised and/or traumatic patients, has never been reported especially in a cytological field. We describe a first case of subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis caused by Exophiala xenobiotica (E. xenobiotica) in a poorly controlled diabetic patient, and in which a correct cytological diagnosis of phaeohyphomycosis was possible to conclude.
