Brucellosis is an endemic infection mainly in the Middle East and the Mediterranean region that can involve any system. However, cardiovascular involvement commonly seen as endocarditis is a rare occurrence, but it is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity. mycotic aneurysms are extremely rare and carry a higher morbidity and mortality. Here, we present a case of mycotic aneurysms in the descending aorta complicated by an aortoesophageal fistula in a 52-year-old diabetic man. The diagnosis was made by thoracic CT angiogram showing a saccular aneurysm arising from the descending aorta and two positive cultures of . Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms ruled out infective endocarditis. Aortoesophageal fistula complicating a mycotic aneurysm in the absence of evidence of endocarditis has not yet been reported in the literature.

Thoracic aortic pseudoaneurysms are a rare but serious complication of infectious processes, often resulting from mycotic (infectious) aneurysms, occurring when the vessel wall is compromised by an infection, leading to the formation of a pseudoaneurysm [1]. Mycotic aneurysms typically result from bacteremia or fungemia, with common sources being infective endocarditis or other systemic infections. Tuberculosis, though a common infectious disease worldwide, is an unusual cause of aortic pseudoaneurysm formation.

Introduction: Arteriovenous (AV) fistula creation is the most common surgical procedure for providing vascular access for haemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The functioning of fistula dictates the quality of dialysis and the longevity of patients. The most common circumstances that require surgical takedown of AV fistula are thrombosis and rupture.

We report a case of a 75-year-old man diagnosed with Parkes-Weber syndrome with an infected common femoral artery aneurysm secondary to chronic venous ulcers and groin infection. Given the symptomatic and rapid enlargement of the aneurysm, emergency aneurysmectomy and crossover femoro-femoral bypass were performed with an omental flap routed intraluminally through the aneurysm of the ipsilateral external iliac artery. The transarterial route enabled the short-cutting of the omental flap and the potential prevention of infection in the adjacent external iliac artery.

Mycotic aneurysms are rare but severe complications that can arise from systemic bacterial infections, including those caused by Salmonella species. These aneurysms can progress rapidly and are associated with high mortality. A 62-year-old man with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus presented to the hospital in septic shock.

BACKGROUND The bacterial organism Capnocytophaga canimorsus is an oral commensal of cats and dogs and can cause life-threatening infections like mycotic aneurysm, meningitis, and sepsis. Mycotic aneurysms occur when microbial infections cause arterial wall degeneration. Difficulty in diagnosing Capnocytophaga canimorsus infection can occur due to the bacteria's fastidious nature and laboratory testing limitations, contributing to the infection's high morbidity and mortality.
