Article Abstract
Reduction of Cp'ThCl, Cp'ThBr, and Cp'ThI (Cp' = CHSiMe) with potassium graphite generates dark blue solutions with reactivity and spectroscopic properties consistent with the formation of Cp'Th. The EPR and UV-visible spectra of the solutions are similar to those of crystallographically-characterized tris(cyclopentadienyl) Th(iii) complexes: [CH(SiMe)]Th, (CMeH)Th, (CBuH)Th, and (CMe)Th. Density functional theory (DFT) analysis indicates that the UV-visible spectrum is consistent with Cp'Th and not [Cp'ThBr]. Although single crystals of Cp'Th have not been isolated, the blue solution reacts with MeSiCl, I, and HC[triple bond, length as m-dash]CPh to afford products expected from Cp'Th, namely, Cp'ThCl, Cp'ThI, and Cp'Th(C[triple bond, length as m-dash]CPh), respectively. Reactions with MeI give mixtures of Cp'ThI and Cp'ThMe. Evidence for further reduction of the blue solutions to a Cp'-ligated Th(ii) complex has not been observed. The crystal structures of Cp'ThMe and (Cp'Th)(μ-O) were also determined as part of these studies.

Nutrient loading is a major driver of seagrass ecosystem decline and also threatens the capacity for seagrass ecosystems to act as 'blue carbon' sinks. Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) represents a crucial component of carbon storage in seagrass ecosystems, with refractory DOC (RDOC) playing a key role in long-term (millennial time scale) carbon stocks. The processes governing RDOC are heavily influenced by microbial activity.

The synthesis of multi-wavelength emission fluorescent metal-organic framework sensors has received widespread attention in recent years. Under solvothermal conditions, a series of triple-emission fluorescent sensors were fabricated by in situ encapsulation of red emitting Eosin Y and green emitting 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene (BPEA) into a blue emitting naphthalene-based Zr-MOF. By combining the dye quantity regulation and the resonance energy transfer between MOFs and dyes, the single-phase EY&BPEA@Zr-MOFs exhibited tunable triple-emission fluorescence.

The primary function of traditional burn dressings is to prevent infection and facilitate tissue repair. Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the difference between iRoot SP and AH Plus on root canal sealing ability for teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis and explore whether the dentin tubule pathway plays an important role in the development of endodontic-periodontic lesions(EPL), in order to provide a theoretical basis for selection of proper time for root canal therapy and suitable root canal sealants in patients with EPL.
Methods: Fifty single-root anterior teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis were selected. The roots were completely debrided to remove the calculus, dental plaque and cementum.
