Esophageal leiomyosarcoma is the commonest of all esophageal sarcomas but yet has a very low incidence. These tumors have been resected by the open approach so far. We describe the steps and challenges involved in the thoracoscopic excision of a huge leiomyosarcoma of the esophagus.

Retroperitoneal synovial sarcoma is extremely rare, with only a few cases reported in the literature. The diagnosis is often made late, due to anatomical considerations, with common symptoms including low back pain and weight loss. Imaging is critical for diagnosis, often revealing a heterogenous mass with the "triple sign" and calcifications.

It is uncommon for soft tissue sarcomas to develop after adenocarcinoma of the rectum. In a treated rectal adenocarcinoma patient, we encountered a huge malignant quadriceps tumor as leiomyosarcoma and salvaged the limb. A 49-year-old male known case of treated moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the rectum presented in the Orthopedic Clinic with a new swelling in his left thigh.
