Partial caries removal reduces the risk of pulp exposure while preserving the tooth structure that is otherwise unnecessarily lost during the cavity preparation. Liners are applied on the dentinal floors to induce the formation of tertiary dentin that effectively blocks the stimuli from reaching the pulp. The present systematic review was conducted to evaluate the effect of liners on pulp vitality after partial caries removal in permanent teeth.

Background: Peritoneal dialysis (PD)-associated peritonitis is linked to an increased risk of mortality and catheter removal, with a higher incidence of these risks observed in polymicrobial peritonitis compared with single-organism infection. In PD patients, invasive procedures can cause peritonitis, typically within 7 days, through transient bacteremia. Although dental procedures are widely recognized as a cause of transient bacteremia, only a limited number of cases involving PD-associated peritonitis after dental procedures, and no cases of polymicrobial peritonitis, have been reported.

Aim: This study assessed how different final irrigation solutions impact the push-out bond strength (PBS) of EndoSequence Bioceramic (BC) and cerafill BC sealers.
Methods: Eighty single-root lower premolars were selected and decoronated. The root canals were then cleaned and shaped chemo-mechanically using ProTaper files up to F5, with 5.
Cemental tear, characterized by the separation of the cementum from the root surface of a tooth, is commonly observed in patients with localized periodontitis, particularly those with a complex medical history resulting in significant periodontal damage. This condition complicates both diagnosis and treatment, and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a valuable tool for assessing the extent of damage and guiding treatment decisions. This report presents 3 clinical cases of cemental tear.

Reports on the histopathologic features of pulp tissue following traumatic injuries are scarce. The aim of the present clinical and histological report was to provide some novel insights about the histological condition of the pulp tissue of an immature permanent tooth, shortly after a combined injury of uncomplicated crown fracture with concomitant subluxation. A seven-year-old male patient presented with a localized buccal swelling apically on tooth #21 and with a radiographic app.
