Purpose: Necrotizing otitis externa (NOE) is a serious life-threatening infection, with Pseudomonas (PA) aeruginosa being the primary causative agent. Background: Chronic cluster headache (CCH) is an excruciatingly painful condition that can be difficult to treat sufficiently with the available medical treatment options. The greater occipital nerves (GON) are of major interest in treating CCH, and various invasive treatment modalities, such as stimulating or blocking the nerves, have been applied. Because the terminal segment of the GON has a superficial course, the nerve is also accessible for non-invasive transcutaneous stimulation.

Here, we aim to investigate risk factors associated with major adverse events following PIV infiltration, which may help risk stratify those who require early surgical consultation.
Methods: Retrospectively, patients were identified who had a documented PIV infiltration or extravasation event at 3 academic hospitals between 2015 and 2022.

Radiation therapy was initially used in dermatology to treat various skin diseases, including acne vulgaris, keloids, plantar warts, tinea capitis and hirsutism. Although it is no longer used in the treatment of many of these diseases, radiation therapy still plays a crucial role in the treatment of keloids, skin cancer and solid organ malignancies. In the past 20 years, the widespread use of intensity-modulated radiation therapy has significantly increased in the management of tumor growth in multiple cancer sites and reduced the incidence of complications in normal organs.

Backgrounds: Various incisions are used in parotid surgery, yet they often result in visible scarring on the neck and potential deformities. This study aimed to assess the efficacy and feasibility of utilizing a periauricular approach for excising parotid tumors irrespective of their location and size.
Methods: This retrospective study involved 46 consecutive patients with parotid lesions, who underwent minimally invasive excision through a periauricular incision performed by a single surgeon between January 2022 and January 2024.
