Introduction: Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) septic arthritis is a rare frequently misdiagnosed condition with non-specific symptoms. We present our experience of thirteen cases of TMJ septic arthritis and perform a systematic review of the literature to collate the multiple characteristics of this condition.

Material And Method: A total of 133 cases of TMJ septic arthritis in humans across 62 studies were analyzed by searching PubMed, Cochrane Library, DOAJ and ClinicalTrials.

Background: Paraspinal muscle abscesses are rare, and generally occur due to injections or hematogenous dissemination. Here, we describe a rare case of a paraspinal muscle and the ipsilateral psoas major abscess in the lumbar region that communicated via the interspaces of the costal processes.

Background: Cutaneous melanoma is the leading cause of death from cutaneous malignancy and tends to metastasize lymphatically and hematogenously to the lung, liver, brain, and bone; it is a rare source of metastatic disease to the eye. Herein we provide a case report of cutaneous melanoma metastatic to the ciliary body and choroid involving clinical examination, slit lamp photography, and B-scan ultrasonography.

Result: A 55-year-old female with known metastatic cutaneous melanoma presented with pain, a large ciliochoroidal mass, visual decline, and diffuse intraocular inflammation.

Background: Nocardia are widely present in nature and considered opportunistic pathogens. They can result in hematogenous spread infection through the ruptured skin or respiratory tract when the host's immune system is compromised. Currently, 119 species of Nocardia have been identified, with 54 capable of causing infections in humans.

Coagulase-negative (CoNS) is a rare cause of UTIs in children and is often regarded as a contaminant in urine samples. We report a case of acute focal bacterial nephritis (AFBN) and bacteremia caused by following an upper respiratory infection in a pediatric patient. The patient, a four-year-old girl, presented with fever, cough, and a runny nose two days before being referred to our hospital due to persistent fever and poor oral intake.
