The pathogenesis of thrombocytopenia can be divided into increased destruction (ID) of platelets in the peripheral blood and decreased production (DP) of platelets in the bone marrow. This study aimed to analyze the efficacy of immature platelet fraction (IPF) related parameters, including the IPF count (IPF#), IPF percentage (IPF%) and highly fluorescence IPF percentage (H-IPF%), measured by XN-9000, in the differential diagnosis of thrombocytopenia. One hundred and twenty healthy volunteers were enrolled in the healthy control (HC) group, and 180 thrombocytopenia patients were grouped into either the increased destruction (ID) group or the decreased production (DP) group according to their final diagnosis. IPF# was significantly lower in the DP group than in the ID and HC groups ( < .01). Among the three groups, the ID group had the highest IPF% and H-IPF%, and the HC group had the lowest IPF% and H-IPF%. The differences between the three groups were all statistically significant ( < .01). In differentiating the ID patients from the DP patients, the areas under the operating characteristics curve of IPF#, IPF% and H-IPF% were 0.859, 0.944 and 0.930, respectively. False positive rates were below 0.04 when IPF#, IPF% and H-IPF% were above 2.65, 7.55 and 2.35, respectively. IPF related parameters showed high efficacy in the differential diagnosis of thrombocytopenia. However, due to the small numerical values of the IPF related parameters in some thrombocytopenia patients, the fluctuations of IPF% and H-IPF% should also be taken into consideration. Though H-IPF% is a new parameter, its effectiveness in the differential diagnosis of thrombocytopenia is not better than IPF%'s.

Objectives: To evaluate the effect of orthodontic movement on traumatized teeth treated with the regenerative endodontic procedure (REP).
Materials And Methods: The increase of the radiographic root area (RRA) of each REP tooth was measured at each follow-up visit after the end of orthodontic treatment. The study included two experimental groups of patients aged 7-17 with REP-treated teeth.

Background: This series investigates the efficacy of regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) using various platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) formulations in treating apical periodontitis and necrotic pulp in immature permanent teeth.
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different PRF formulations in RET.
Materials And Methods: Three cases involving patients aged 15-16 with immature teeth and necrotic pulp were treated with RET using PRF, injectable PRF, and advanced PRF.

Background: Immature granulocytes can be measured easily in a complete blood count by new automated hemolytic analyzers and have recently been studied as bio-markers in many infectious/inflammatory diseases. This study aims to investigate whether immature granulocyte percentage (IG%) would enable greater discrimination than conventionally utilized laboratory values in terms of early clinical prediction in instances with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) bronchiolitis.
Methods: A prospective observational cohort study involved 149 individuals with RSV bronchiolitis.

Unlabelled: Megakaryocytes (MKs) are large, polyploid cells that contribute to bone marrow homeostasis through the secretion of cytokines such as transforming growth factor β1 (TGFβ1). During neoplastic transformation, immature MKs accumulate in the bone marrow where they induce fibrotic remodeling ultimately resulting in myelofibrosis. Current treatment strategies aim to prevent MK hyperproliferation, however, little is understood about the potential of targeting dysregulated cytokine secretion from neoplastic MKs as a novel therapeutic avenue.
