Biofilms are the cause of major bacteriological infections in patients. The complex architecture of () biofilm attached to the surface of catheters has been studied and found to depend on the biomaterial's surface properties. The SEM micrographs and water contact angle analysis have revealed that the nature of the surface affects the growth and extent of biofilm formation. In vitro studies have revealed that the Gram-negative adherence to implanted biomaterials takes place in accordance with hydrophobicity, i.e., latex > silicone > polyurethane > stainless steel. Permanent removal of biofilm requires 50 to 200 times more gentamicin sulfate (G-S) than the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) to remove 90% of biofilm (MBIC). Here, in vitro eradication of biofilm-associated infection on biomaterials has been done by Eudragit RL100 encapsulated gentamicin sulfate (E-G-S) nanoparticle of range 140 nm. It is 10-20 times more effective against biofilm-associated infections eradication than normal unentrapped G-S. Thus, Eudragit RL100 mediated drug delivery system provides a promising way to reduce the cost of treatment with a higher drug therapeutic index.

Background: Norfloxacin (NFX) is a wide-spectrum antibacterial agent that suffers from low water solubility and first-pass metabolism. This diminishes its oral bioavailability by 60-70%.

Objective: This work aims to formulate a topical gel of NFX-loaded lipid polymer hybrid nanoparticles (NFX-LPHNPs) that combine the merits of liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles to overcome these problems.

Purpose: Chronic ailments usually decrease the quality of life due to the requirement for repetitive administration of drugs. Glaucoma is a chronic eye disease occurred because of increased intraocular pressure (IOP). Controlled-release inserts can overcome this challenge by a gradual release of the antiglaucoma drugs.

Advanced nanotechniques and the corresponding complex nanostructures they produce represent some of the most powerful tools for developing novel drug delivery systems (DDSs). In this study, a side-by-side electrospraying process was developed for creating double-chamber nanoparticles in which Janus soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) patches were added to the sides of Eudragit RL100 (RL100) particles. Both sides were loaded with the poorly water-soluble drug paracetamol (PAR).

Clozapine (CZP) is the only effective drug in schizophrenia resistant to typical antipsychotics. However, existing dosage forms (oral or orodispersible tablets, suspensions or intramuscular injection) show challenging limitations. After oral administration, CZP has low bioavailability due to a large first-pass effect, while the i.
