Several extensions to the Standard Model of particle physics, including light dark matter candidates and unification theories predict deviations from Newton's law of gravitation. For macroscopic distances, the inverse-square law of gravitation is well confirmed by astrophysical observations and laboratory experiments. At micrometer and shorter length scales, however, even the state-of-the-art constraints on deviations from gravitational interaction, whether provided by neutron scattering or precise measurements of forces between macroscopic bodies, are currently many orders of magnitude larger than gravity itself. Here we show that precision spectroscopy of weakly bound molecules can be used to constrain non-Newtonian interactions between atoms. A proof-of-principle demonstration using recent data from photoassociation spectroscopy of weakly bound Yb molecules yields constraints on these new interactions that are already close to state-of-the-art neutron scattering experiments. At the same time, with the development of the recently proposed optical molecular clocks, the neutron scattering constraints could be surpassed by at least two orders of magnitude.

BAG3 is a universal adapter protein involved in various cellular processes, including the regulation of apoptosis, chaperone-assisted selective autophagy, and heat shock protein function. The interaction between small heat shock proteins (sHsps) and their α-crystallin domains (Acds) with full-length BAG3 protein and its IPV domain was analyzed using size-exclusion chromatography, native gel electrophoresis, and chemical cross-linking. HspB7 and the 3D mutant of HspB1 (which mimics phosphorylation) showed no interaction, HspB6 weakly interacted, and HspB8 strongly interacted with full-length BAG3.

Weakly-supervised learning (WSL) methods have gained significant attention in medical image segmentation, but they often face challenges in accurately delineating boundaries due to overfitting to weak annotations such as bounding boxes. This issue is particularly pronounced in thyroid ultrasound images, where low contrast and noisy backgrounds hinder precise segmentation. The dynamic response of heterogeneous catalytic materials to their environment opens a wide variety of possible surface states which may have increased catalytic activity. In this work, we find that it is possible to generate a surface state with increased catalytic activity over metallic 2nm Pt nanoparticles by performing a thermal treatment of the CO*-covered Pt catalyst. This state is characterised by its ability to oxidise CO to CO2 at room temperature.

Due to the lack of specific antibody anti-chicken tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2), it is difficult to further explore the role of TRAF2 in pulmonary artery remodeling in pulmonary hypertension(PH) in broilers. In this experiment, we prepared a polyclonal antibody to TRAF2 by constructing a TRAF2 recombinant protein prokaryotic expression vector and analyzed the expression of TRAF2 in in vivo and in vitro models of pulmonary hypertension in broiler chickens and the effect of TRAF2 on the activity and apoptosis of PASMCs. The results showed that after immunization with TRAF2 recombinant protein we obtained high titers of polyclonal antibodies, and astragalus polysaccharide as an immune adjuvant could enhance the effect of immunization.
