Background: Tele-robotic ultrasound (US) is a novel technique that might help overcome the current shortage of radiologists and poor access to radiologists and/or sonographers in remote or rural areas. Despite the promising results of this technology in the past two decades, there is still insufficient data about its advantages and limits, as well as the implementation in routine clinical practice and the learning curve for the user. The purpose of this prospective cohort-based study is to evaluate the performance of a 5G-based tele-robotic US system for abdominal and thyroid gland assessment in a cohort of healthy volunteers and outpatients, as well as assessing the learning curve and patient satisfaction.

Introduction: Prior studies have demonstrated racial disparities in access to liver transplantation but determinants of these disparities remain poorly understood. We used geographic catchment areas for transplant centers (transplant referral regions, TRRs) to characterize transplant environment contributors to racial and ethnic disparities in liver transplant access.

Methods: Data were obtained from the Scientific Registry for Transplant Recipients (SRTR) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) from 2015 to 2021.

Introduction Achilles tendon rupture (ATR) represents a significant musculoskeletal injury that can affect many patients' mobility and quality of life. Treatment of ATR consists of both conservative and surgical options, with the traditional belief being that surgical intervention reduces the risk of re-rupture. However, with the introduction of physiotherapy-led functional rehabilitation strategies with early mobilization, it has been shown that re-rupture rates are equal among surgical and non-surgical patients.

Introduction: Thoracic SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated tumors (SMARCA4-UTs) are a recently defined group of aggressive cancers in which the effectiveness of standard treatments for lung cancer is unknown.

Methods: We collected clinical, pathologic, and demographic variables from five institutions for patients whose tumors met criteria for SMARCA4-UTs (undifferentiated phenotype and loss of SMARCA4 (BRG1) by immunohistochemistry).

Results: We identified 92 patients with SMARCA4-UTs; 58 (63%) had stage IV disease at diagnosis and 16 (17%) developed recurrent or metastatic disease after initial diagnosis.
